Conneaut, OH (August 11, 2017): Evergreen Lake Park Campground CARS Crate Late Models will be in the spotlight this Friday at Raceway 7 with the drivers getting the option to run topless. It’s said that the cars are faster without their top, plus the fans get a less obstructed view of the drivers wrestling the cars through the corners and down Raceway 7’s long straights. Last week’s quickest time for the Evergreen Lake Park Campground CARS Crate Late Models was 19.026, set by Chad Wright while enroute to his heat race win.

The format for the CARS events will be Group time trials to set heat starting grids with each heat paying paying $100 to win. Sponsors for the heats will be Daniels Speed Supply, 955 Automotive and Jason Orr, and Amsoil by Gary and Bonnie Neubauer. The top two finishers from each heat will advance into the first dash sponsored by J D Diversified. The first dash will set starting positions one through six in the feature. The second dash will consist of the third and fourth in each heat and will be sponsored by Shetler Construction. The second dash will set starting positions seven through twelve. The dashes will also pay $100 to win. The feature event will run 25-laps and will pay $1200 to win plus a $250 bonus from Knorr Electric.
