49th Annual ‘Hillbilly Hundred’ Advance Tickets & Reserve Seats On Sale

A perfect match as the tradition laden $25,000 to win ‘Granddaddy’ of them all at one of the raciest best kept secret venues in all of motorsports will welcome the best race fans in motorsports back to the Mountain State for another edition of the spectacle known as the ‘Hillbilly’, Labor Day weekend, September 1st-3rd.
Considered one of dirt track racing’s most prestigious national level events, be sure to be part of and experience the excitement of ‘America’s Oldest Dirt Late Model Major event, the Hillbilly Hundred. A West Virginia tradition for over four decades, just keeps getting bigger and better as the hills will roar once again with the sound of horsepower this Labor Day weekend.
The stars and cars of the nations premier traveling circuit the Lucas Oil Dirt Car Racing Series will return to the Tyler County Speedway with over $125,000 dollars up for grabs, and $25,000 dollars and a one-of-a-kind championship trophy going to the winner of the 49th Annual Hillbilly 100. See the defending race winner and 2016 Lucas Oil champion Scott Bloomquist, local superstar Josh Richards, Tim McCreadie, Earl Pearson Jr., Darrell Lanigan, Don & Hudson O’ Neil, Jimmy Owens, Dennis Erb, Steve Francis, Greg Satterlee and many more as they prepare for battle against the mid-ohio valley’s best super late model drivers and a shot at adding their name to the history books.
While the campground will be open all week long, the action gets underway in earnest on Friday Night as the Tyler County Speedway plays host to Park, Practice and Party Night. Be there as the pits of the ‘Bullring’ begin filling up on Friday Night to secure their favorite pit spot, turn a few laps in preparation for the weekend and ‘bust a move’ at the traditional ‘Hillbilly’ pit party!
A racing smorgasboard of speed will greet racers and fans alike as the Saturday Night portion of the Hillbilly 100 will showcase some of the sports best. Talk with any avid dirt track fan and they all admit that Saturday Night’s portion of the Hillbilly 100 is some of the best three wide racing seen anywhere. An incredible lineup featuring the FASTRAK Late Models squaring off for $5,000 to win in the running of the ‘Brown Jug 50’. The always popular ‘Hillbilly 50’ Steel Block Late Model main, paying $4,000 to win plus a guaranteed starting spot in the Hillbilly 100 always brings a stellar field of Steel Blocks to the ‘Bullring’. Likewise the AMRA Modifieds will square off for $2,000 to win and title of winner in the ‘White Lightnin’ 30′. Plus preliminaries in the EDGE Hotmod ‘Lil’ Hilly 20′, Modlite ‘Sour Mash 20’ and 4 Cylinder ‘Ridge Runner 20’. On Sunday September 3rd, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will roll into town to headline the grand-daddy of all Late Model major events the $25,000 to win ‘Hillbilly Hundred’ with the Hotmods, Modlites and 4 Cylinders completing their main events.
