MANSFIELD, OH (June 1, 2017) – With Mansfield Motor Speedway’s inaugural Memorial Classic featuring the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions washed away just before A-main competition could take to the racing surface, Arctic Cat All Star and Mansfield Motor Speedway officials were forced to delay the 30-lap, $5,000-to-win program. After much consideration, officials associated with both parties decided to postpone the main event until Friday, October 13; the night before the Arctic Cat All Star season finale at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio.

In addition to the make-up feature, the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions will take part in a second, complete new program on October 13, also going 30 laps in distance and awarding a $5,000 top prize, as well as full points toward the 2017 championship. Only the 24 drivers qualified for the postponed main event will have the opportunity to participate. Alternates may be eligible, based upon the B-main finishing order from May 28, if one of the 24 starters is not present.

“It is extremely rare to get to see these guys run 2 main events in one night, so this sets up a really big weekend of racing in October at Mansfield” Said Cody Sommer, President of Mansfield Motor Speedway. “Most of the program on May 28th was completed but we wanted to at least give fans and teams an opportunity to see that race completed” Said Sommer.

With a second, full program now on tap, fans will have to purchase a new ticket to gain access on October 13, but will be eligible for a discounted ticket price if a ticket from May 28 is presented. Additional information regarding tickets, discounts and pricing will be released in the coming weeks!

In addition to the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions event, the Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (BOSS) also fell just short of it’s A Main event before rain and severe weather hit Mansfield, Ohio. BOSS has previously been set to return to Mansfield Motor Speedway on August 11th & 12th later this year for the Great Lakes Dirt Nationals for a massive race weekend featuring FAST 410 & 305 Sprint Car Series’. After discussions with the BOSS series and speedway staff, they have decided to make the Great Lakes Dirt Nationals weekend even bigger as the May 28th feature event for BOSS non-wing sprint cars will now be ran on Friday August 11th. Thus creating a double header of main events for BOSS and 3 main events throughout the entire weekend for the BOSS Sprint Car Series. All together 7 main events will be ran on August 11th & 12th at Mansfield Motor Speedway for the Great Lakes Dirt Nationals.

Similarly to the October 13th added ALL STAR race, fans with a ticket from May 28th will have the opportunity to exchange their ticket for a discount on August 11th. Additional information regarding tickets, discounts and pricing will be released in the coming weeks!
