Princeton Is Ready For “One Big Night” This Saturday
3 min readThis Saturday, June 3rd, “One Big Night” of racing rolls into Princeton Speedway! Three premier divisions plus 4 amazing support divisions on hand to do battle for the best payouts in the region for one low price of $15! Super Late Models will headline the show along with AMRA Open Wheel Modifieds and FASTRAK Pro Late Models. Also on hand will be the Sport Mods, Street Stocks, Pro Minis, and Mini Wedges! Some of the best competitors from the region will be on hand to do battle on West Virginia’s only “D-Shaped” oval! The Super Late Model show will pay $2,000 to will and $300 to start!
Some of the best Super Late Model drivers and teams in the region will be on hand to do battle on our very racy 4/10ths mile speedway! Strong local drivers expected to be on hand included Chris Meadows, Tyler Cox, Ricky Williams, Brandon Carter, Jeff Lilly, Kurtis Swim, David Ferreira, and Terry Parsons. We also expect to see area legendary driver Eslie Bills in the house. On top of that other regional drivers are expected to show including Tre Martin of Sissonville, WV who will be coming out of retirement after four years out of the car. Travis Greer, representing the Commonwealth of Virginia at every Super Late Model race we have, is expected to be in the house on Saturday night. We may also see other drivers from states such as North Carolina, Kentucky, and Ohio for this huge regular payout! The Super Late Models have instituted a new tire rule this year of 1300’s or harder or 44’s or harder, so it matches what other series in other states run, making it easier for guys to travel and race with us! This will bring more drivers to the track to put on an even better show for our fans!
The AMRA Open Wheel Modifieds will also put on a great show with last year’s champion Jason Cochran being chased by the field! The FASTRAK Pro Late Models will also be putting on a show as everyone vies for the title T.J. Salango captures in 2016. The Street Stock class is wide open this season as many of the drivers from the class have made a jump to the new Sport Mod class. The Pro Minis are sure to put on a great race as they have the tightest competition at the track week in and week out. The Mini-Wedges with the kids on board are sure to be as exciting as always! Who knows what we will see from the new Sport Mod class, but we do expect a good field of cars and hope to have some exciting racing for years to come from the class!
