Topless 50 & Let It Ride 55 Rescheduled For Saturday May 27th
3 min read(Middlebourne, WV) Another cold rainy Saturday forced the Tyler County Speedway into another cancellation. A huge night was on tap as the 23rd Annual Topless 50 and the twice rescheduled ‘Let It Ride 55’ was set to take the green. A name change from the ‘Let it Ride 55’ to the ‘Let it Rain 55’ seem appropriate after Mother Nature would take her win streak to two, while also chalking up cancellations in four out of six weeks at the ‘Bullring’. The Hometown Racing Association will now reschedule the prestigious Topless 50 and the Let It Ride 55 to Saturday Night, May 27th as the opening night to a huge Memorial Weekend as the World of Outlaws will roll into town on Sunday, May 28th for the $8,000 to win 29th Annual Earl Hill Memorial. A monster weekend will not only see the Super Lates have two of Tyler County Speedway’s crown jewels to vie for but the Renegades of Dirt Modifieds will square off and do battle for the 6th Annual ‘Let It Ride 55’ and the previously scheduled 13th Annual Dickson Classic. Break out the camper, fill up the cooler and head to the hills of the Tyler County Speedway as we kick off an epic Summer of racing action at the ‘Bullring’ with a monster Memorial Weekend schedule of events.
Coming up this Saturday Night, May 13th it will be the fan friendly ‘Dirt Cheap’ Buck Night as the Hometown Racing Association will offer various $1 concession specials thru out the evening. Plus it’s the 11th Annual Tammy Clegg Tribute race for the Sigler Fabrication EDGE Hotmod division presented by Poske Performance Parts paying $500 to win. It will also be Workin’ Man World Championship qualifying event #2 for the Hotmods. Plus racing in all other classes and a Kids Club Treasure Hunt will entertain the young tikes prior to the racing action. General admission is priced at $12, children 10 and under free and pit prices are $30. Gates open at 4pm, MWRA Mini Wedges at 5:45, hot laps at 6:30.
