Tyler County Releases Star Studded 2017 Racing Schedule

(Middlebourne, WV) Following a very successful 2016 campaign that would see the Tyler County Speedway play host to the regions most diverse, high paying and fan friendly lineup of events, plus a bulging pit area that seen over six hundred different racers grace the ‘Bullring’, 2017 sets up as an even bigger stage for the Middlebourne, WV oval. The Hometown Racing Association is proud to put Tyler County Speedway in position to be one of only a handful of tracks in America to play host to both National Touring Late Model Series as the World of Outlaw Late Model Series and the Lucas Oil Dirt Car Series will both roll thru Middlebourne during the 2017 season. The ‘Bullring’ will kick off its 43rd year of action with a late March Test n’ Tune session and it’s no April fools as the lid will officially come off the 2017 season on Saturday Night, April 1st.

Race fans will want to celebrate the huge summer time holiday weekends at the ‘Bullring’ in 2017 as the Tyler County Speedway will be playing host to multiple day events on each of the Memorial, July 4th and Labor Day weekends. A huge Memorial Weekend will be on tap on Saturday and Sunday, May 27-28th as we welcome the ‘Greatest Show on Dirt’ the World of Outlaw Late Models back to the ‘Bullring for the 29th Annual Earl Hill Memorial plus the jammed pack weekend will also feature the traditional Pat Herrick Memorial for Modlites and Dickson Classic for AMRA Modifieds. Highlighting the 4th of July Weekend will be the 3rd Annual Mega 100 on June 30-July 2nd featuring $3,000 and $7,000 to win Super Late specials along with the massive $10,000 to win Renegades of Dirt AMRA Modified Mega 100. The fan favorite light show and massive firework show will be on tap as we celebrate America’s Independence Tyler County Speedway style. America’s oldest late model crown jewel and ‘granddaddy of them all’ the 49th Annual Hillbilly 100 will once again head to the hills of the Middlebourne, WV oval on its traditional Labor Day weekend September 1-3rd, highlighted by the $25,000 to win Lucas Oil Dirt Car Series. A racing reunion unlike any other as the ‘Bullring’ hosts Hall of Fame Promoter Carl Short’s Hillbilly Hundred once again in 2017.

Lots of traditional Tyler County Speedway marquee events remain on the action packed schedule including the 23rd Annual Topless 50 on May 6th, 16th Annual FASTRAK Late Model Eaton/Childers King of the Ring on June 17th, 11th Annual Hotmod Tammy Clegg Tribute on May 13th, Bud Weigle Memorial on July 29th, the popular Patriot 200 on July 8th and the $5k Sunoco Shootout on August 19th.

Several fan friendly events are slated that sets the ‘Bullring’ apart as not only does the Tyler County Speedway offer the best weekly racing in the region but there is always a family friendly deal to be had. From the Dirt Cheap Buck Night on May 13th, Rock the Vote Night on April 29th, ‘Pack the Track 4’ on June 10th, Back to School Kids Night on August 12th, Hometown Heroes (BOGO) Nights for surrounding Counties on 4/22, 8/12 & 8/19 as the Hometown Racing Association is always looking for new unique ways to get the families involved at the Tyler County Speedway.

Lots of new happenings at the ‘Bullring’ in 2017 as the 6th Annual Renegades of Dirt ‘Let it Ride 55’ $3,055 to win AMRA Modified special will move from its Memorial weekend slot to an early season special on Saturday Night, April 8th. The groundpounder V-8 Big Block Modifieds will return to the ‘Bullring’ on Saturday Night, April 15th, which is always a must see event. Also a Tyler County Speedway first will be an all-day ‘Redneck Thunder’ event featuring a ‘Mayhem in the Mountains’ Mudbog starting at noon, Side X Side Racing and the Power Pulling Productions sanctioned Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League will hit the speedway on Saturday Night June 24th, starting at 7pm. A four race Enduro Series will also return to the speedway after a long Enduro absence, the low budget $500 to win events will take to the track on March 25th as part of Test n’ Tune, June 3rd as part of Kings of Karnage, June 24th as part of Redneck Thunder and October 7th during the Fallbrawl.
