WHEELERSBURG, OH-For the first time since June of 2014, Sprint Cars return to Southern Ohio Speedway and return in a big way this Friday, May 27th for Open Wheel Night! The jam packed racing card will feature the OVSCA 410 Sprint Cars, Ohio RaceSaver 305 Sprint Cars, Southern Ohio Lightning Mini-Sprints, AMRA Modifieds, Sport Mods, and an Enduro at the end of the night!

There is a lot of anticipation for the first Sprint Car event on the new track configuration. The new track configuration is expected to produce some great racing in the Sprint Car divisions. Expect to see lots of slide jobs through turns 1 and 2 as we’ve seen a higher groove be the preferred groove in that turn.

It will be an exciting night for fans of open wheel racing as 5 of the 6 classes are open wheel cars! The fast and powerful OVSCA 410 Sprint Cars will no doubt set a new track record for the new track configuration. The OVSCA has always put on a great show at SOS with Jim Nier, Kory Crabtree, and Taylor Ferns previous winners in the OVSCA Sprints. The RaceSaver 305 Sprints have a little less horsepower than the 410’s but always put on great racing. The Mini-Sprints are midget chassis with wings and powered by motorcycle engines. They put on great racing as well as the AMRA Modified and Sport Mod divisions that always put on great show at SOS.

It will be a great deal for the fans as you can see all of this action for general admission prices of $12 (ages 17 and up), $5 (ages 13-16), $2 (ages 7-12), and FREE (ages 6 and under)! Pit passes are $3o (ages 13 and up), $20 (ages 7-12), and FREE (ages 6 and under). Gates will open at 4:00 pm with hot laps at 7:15 pm. For more information visit www.southernohiospeedway.com.
