BOSS Drivers Prepare For Waynesfield Raceway Park Invasion

This Saturday, September 19th will see a new event in the BOSS world. For the first time since the series began, a second race was added to the schedule for the 1/4 mile bullring. Also special is the fact that this event will include a rare appearance of late models at WRP for a “Dirt Track World Championship” qualifier, where the winner is guaranteed a starting spot in the annual high paying DTWC.

The BOSS tour will bring plenty of excitement for the fans though, as the “Guilford Gasser” Shawn Westerfeld leads the points chase over past tour champions Mike “The Magic Man” Miller and the “Hustlin Hoosier” Dustin Smith. Miller and Smith need near perfect runs over the final 3 nights to catch Westerfeld, but they are not out of the running yet. Youngster Cooper Clouse holds down the 4th spot in points while the “Nati Nightmare” Michael Fischesser has pulled up to tie Aaron “Mid Air” Middaugh for the final spot in the top 5.

Rounding out the current top 10 in points are Chad Wilson, Cody Gardner, Justin Owen and Bob McMillin. All the BOSS stars are expected to be in action along with a fine field of WRP regulars and maybe even a few surprise entrants. This new fall event promises to be one that you don’t want to miss!

For teams, pit gates will open at 3:30 pm with drivers meeting at 5:15. Hot laps will immediately follow the drivers meeting. Pit passes will be $30 with general admission for ages 16 and up at $18. Kids age 11-15 are $10 and kids 10 and under are free. There will be a $10 transponder rental fee at this event. No mufflers are required for this race and NO Fuel will be for sale at the race track.

The standard BOSS payout of $1500 to win and $250 to start will be up for grabs along with heat race and bonus money. BOSS extends a big thank you to the many teams, tracks and fans who make this series special and also a big thanks to the list of sponsors below listed with their contribution!
