Steve Prince Is In The 33rd Annual Jim Dunn Memorial
5 min read(Racing 6/6/2015)….. Opening night at Muskingum County Speedway was a special night as we get ready for our Jim Dunn Memorial coming up on August 1st . The Jim Dunn Qualifier for the Late Models paid $1,500 to win and STEVE PRINCE of Newark, Ohio dominated the Feature event with a 30 lap green to checkered stomping on the Late Model Division . Early Battle with Female Late Model Racer #27 Lauren Longbrake before she would look like she lost an engine and headed Pit side .. Jacob Hawkins did reel Prince in with about 5 laps to go before the caution came out with just three laps to go . On the Restart of the race , Prince put the #0 (in memory of Jack Walker) right back out front and pulled away as he claimed the first starting position in our $10,000 to win Jim Dunn Memorial and his second career Feature event victory … Hawkins would finish second, Hall of Famer Rick Aukland, Ryan Markham, and Jeremy Berwanger was the top 5 ..
..In the Modified division , Big Purse money up for grabs with a $1,500 prize going to the winner . #101 Jesse Wisecarver of Zanesville took control early and the race was behind him for second between Anthony Kinkade, Kevin Morehouse, Tanner Wilson, Cody Parker, and Jess Hartman . Those guys would swap positions for most of the feature but when the checkered fell its Wisecarver holding off Morehouse, Parker, Kinkade, and Wilson was the top 5 ….
..Really AWESOME to see a FULL FIELD of Street Stocks out here on opening night , they got a standing Ovation after the Feature Event , The Fans were loving the action these cars put on and when you got a full field of them , you know your going to see a great one .. Brandon Gardner would pick up his 99th career Feature win with that same car as he crossed the stripe ahead of Tim Penley, AJ Cannon, Kenny Johnson in Larry Jarretts #15 car, and Justin Poling …
..Couple drivers here from Pennsylvania getting ready for the BIG ONE (TK MEMORIAL on 8/26 $5,050 to win 4-cylinders night) and these boys put on a great show .. A full field of 4-Cyinders would take the green flag and after a fierce battle between Dennis Adkins and Pennsylvania driver Eric Boozel , Adkins would hold him off for the Victory . Boozel, Kyle Moyer, Don Rufener III , and Chris Dyer was the top 5..
