3 min readROSSBURG, Ohio (Aug. 28) — On the heels of a successful first-time partnership for June’s Dirt Late Model Dream presented by Ferris Mowers, Eldora Speedway and DirtonDirt.com are teaming up again to bring fans a live pay-per-view broadcast of the famed Buckeye State track’s 44th annual World 100 on Thursday-Friday-Saturday, Sept. 4-6.
Fans unable to attend Dirt Late Model racing’s most prestigious event in person have the opportunity to watch all the action live online at EldoraSpeedway.com or DirtonDirt.com by purchasing a pay-per-view package for each night of competition. The coverage includes two complete racing programs on Thurs., Sept. 4, headlined by a pair of 25-lap, $5,000-to-win features; two more full racing cards on Fri., Sept. 5, topped by twin 25-lap features also paying $5,000 to win; and the grand finale on Sat., Sept. 6, featuring heats, consolations and the World 100 that boasts a $47,000 first-place prize.
Jonathan Bateman, Eldora Speedway’s Manager of Promotions and New Media, and Michael Rigsby, the co-founder of the popular DirtonDirt.com Dirt Late Model news website, will once again oversee a production team overflowing with broadcast and video experience. Long-time motorsports cameraman Greg Stephens will direct the multi-camera coverage that features graphics director Ryan Hines and veteran Dirt Late Model videographers Steve and Will Gigeous, Webb Dillard, Craig Jensen, Mike Lyons and J.J. Samuelson.
Announcers James Essex and Shane Andrews, meanwhile, will call the races, providing viewers lap-by-lap commentary throughout the broadcasts. Pit reporter Ben Shelton will smuggle fans behind the scenes with his in-depth interviews and the Voice of Eldora, Dustin Jarrett, will serve as host of the broadcast.
Additional features of the broadcasts include instant replays of on-track action and live on-screen timing and scoring to aid viewers in following the competition.
Live coverage will begin on-line each night at 5:30 p.m. EST with a pre-race show, followed by hot laps at 6 p.m. EST.
