Clinger Memorial For E-Mods Featured This Week At Raceway 7!
2 min readConneaut, OH (August 5, 2014): the Bonnell Collision Center E-Mods will be in the spotlight this week at Raceway 7 as Chris Clinger, son of noted car builder Jim Clinger, will be remembered.
Clinger will be remembered by a special event for the Bonnell Collision Center E-Mods, a class of racers close to the Clinger family. Gary Eicher currently has a 68-point lead in the division points chase, looking to unseat Joel Watson’s dominance of the division. Watson, winner last week, is second with opening night winner Percy McDonald third, track promoter Dan McDonald fourth, and Mike Potosky fifth.
As the season winds down tempers rise as every week has a more noticeable impact on the final championship standings. Chad Wright leads the Evergreen Lake Park Campground Crate Late Models points by only 16 heading into the final weeks of racing. Matt Latta, who won his first Raceway 7 feature earlier this season, is poised to take over at the front after making up a lot of points last week. Kyle Zimmerman and Darrell Bossard are tied for third with former champion and winner last week Dennis Lunger in fifth.
Only 25-points separate second-place Ed Bolyard from leader Chris Withers in the Campbell’s Mini-Storage Street Stocks championship run. Jimmy Kennerknecht sits third with Kenny Lamp fourth and Chris Hochschild fifth in the standings.
Steve Burns holds a slim ten-point margin over Josh Ferry in the Zimmer Service Center Economods standings. Rick Prosser, former champion Brandon Blackshear, and Russ Kapalin fill out the top five.
Dale Fraschetti holds a 31-point margin over 2012 champion Bud Sergeff in the Chase for the Specialty Products Mini Stocks championship title. Third is Jason Easler, another 56-points back. Fourth is Brad Cole, the 2013 champion and last week’s winner. Carlos Aponte holds the fifth spot.
