Atomic Freedom 40 Now $5,000 To Win Renegade Sprint Car Series
2 min readSaturday night Aug. 23rd not only marks the one year anniversary of Brad McCown as the new owner of The Atomic Speedway, it is now also the inaugural event for the new Renegade Sprint Car series. To sweeten the night for this iconic event the winners share of the purse has been raised to $5000, plus as a added bonus the winner will receive a provisional into the Open Wheel Championships in October which will pay a whopping $15,000 to win and will also be the season finale for the Renegade Sprints.
The Renegade Sprints is a new regional series that has been the buzz of the Sprint Car world the past few weeks. However, it is quickly picking up speed with veteran drivers like Danny Smith, Tim Schaeffer, Randy Hannagin, Greg Wilson, Chad Kemenah, Lee and Dean Jacobs and Rob Chaney along with young guns Andrew Palker, Travis Philo, Danny Holtgraver, Caleb Helms and Bryan Sebetto along with many of your favorite local racers will surely make a great show at every Renegade event.
Atomic Speedway is excited to be both the inaugural and finale events for the new Renegade Sprint Car series in 2014. The series will end their inaugural season at The Atomic with the 3 day Open Wheel Championship October 23-25 with Saturday night’s main event paying $15,000 to the winner of the Renegade feature. We are continuing to work out details for both of these action filled events as The Atomic is become known as the home of Sprint Car racing in Southern Ohio. Sponsorship packages are still available with both the track and series.
