(Peebles, OH) Throughout the day on Saturday August 2nd, it looked as if the rains would stop the racing action. However all day long the rain missed the Brushcreek Motorsports Complex. As other tracks began to rain out, drivers and fans alike started to head toward the track just outside of Peebles for a night of action! With awesome counts of cars including 21 Sport Mods, the night turned into a wild one full of great racing and carnage.

The first of the main events was the Crazy Compacts. Stacy Evans won the heat race starting him on the pole, inside of Keith Anderson. Anderson was looking to continue a winning streak he picked up the last two weeks. At the drop of the green, Evans’ car stalled for a moment allowing Anderson to get out ahead. It was fairly calm until around the half way point in the 10 Lap race. Evans closed in on Anderson and made his presence known. Stacy tried to put the 71 car high and low to get the lead but couldnt pull it off. It was down to the final lap and the two were close coming down the backstretch. Evans knew he had to make his move and dove low. The 71 car slid up and got into the 48 of Anderson. Keith Anderson held on to the checkered flag to win it. Following him were Stacy Evans, Tommy Stout Jr, Greg Anderson and Kevin Howell.

The Hidden Gem Web Designs Sport Mods had the highest car count of the night with 21 cars showing up to race at BMC. Several drivers were making their first start at the track and others had only competed a handful of times. Emily Jordan, the young lady from South Webster, OH won her heat race and was on pole of the feature event. She led from the drop of the green but it wasnt easy for Jordan. Mitchel Fields was running second and all over the 13 car driven by Emily. The battle heated up toward the end of the race as again for the second race of the night it would come down to turn 4. Emily Jordan kept the car in the middle line and held off Fields for the win! In victory lane Emily Jordan said ” Last time we were here we backed it into the wall…..it went much better this time”. Mitchel Fields, Rickey Neace, Danny Hamilton and Mike Brust rounded out the top 5.

The Modifieds were up next. Adam Colley lead the field to the green. Brushcreek regular Dave Jamison and Brian Skaggs had the task of chasing Colley. As the race progressed the action for the top 3 spots heated up. Colley said later that he could hear the other two cars behind him he just didnt know exactly where they were. The race was red flagged around the half-way point for a violent rollover accident involving Shannon Wireman. Wireman climbed out of his destroyed 57 car OK. Brian Skaggs were pitted in a dead heat battle for the second spot. Colley held on to win his second race at BMC this season followed by Dave Jamison, Brian Skaggs, Chad Barr, and Tyler Allison.

The Ohio Valley Roofers Legend Cars would be the final class on track. Tommy Stout Sr. started on the pole of the event. At the beginning of the race drivers such as Tom Partin, Josh Francis and Steven Partin were up front battling for the lead with Stout. As the race progressed, cars started to drop out. Tommy Stout held them off to pick up his first win in the Legend Cars. Steve Duderstadt, Derek Minshew, Josh Francis, and Cole DeMint rounded out the top 5.
