Autograph Night This Week At Raceway 7

Conneaut, OH (June 17, 2014): Raceway 7’s annual ‘Autograph Night’ is set for this Friday June 20. The fan favorite will be on the main straight-a-way during intermission. All fans are invited onto the track surface for about 1/2 hour to talk with drivers and see the machines close up. Many teams have candy and handouts for the fans and some have drawings for special prizes. There is no raise in general admission prices for this very special event.

Points races are shaping in in each division as the season nears the halfway point. Evergreen Lake Park Campground Crate Late Models are currently being led by defending champion Chad Wright on the strength of a win and a pair of seconds. Wright’s lead is slim though, with single winner Matt Latta only four points back. Darrell Bossard is a further 22-markers back in third.

Gary Eicher, with one win in 2014, hold a substantial 46-point lead over defending champion Joel Watson in the Bonnell Collision Center E-Mods season total. Watson also has one feature win. Another 51-points back of Watson is Mike Potosky, winless thus far in the season but close to the front every week.

Defending champion Chris Withers holds a narrow three-point edge over former champion Ed Bolyard in the Campbell’s Mini-Storage Street Stocks standings. Bolyard has two wins this season while Withers only has visited the Winner’s Circle once in the first half of the season. Jimmy Kennerknecht, on the strength of several top fives although no wins yet, is third in the points chase, 17-markers back of Bolyard.

With two wins thus far, Steve Burns leads the Zimmer Service Center Economods rankings over Ty Rhoades, winless so far, by 21-points. Josh Mueller, who broke into the Winner’s Circle for the first time in his career last week, is currently third, 35 points back of Rhoades.

Brad Cole, with one win, is currently tied atop the Specialty Products Mini Stocks season-long points race in a tie with Jason Easler, winless this season. Cole is the defending points champion. Only five behind them is Dale Fraschetti, winner of his first-ever feature on June 6.

Weather permitting, gates open every Friday at 5:30 PM with pill draw cut off at 7 PM and racing at 7:30 PM. VIP suites are available for rental for $250 a night which includes eight general admissions passes. Admission is set for $10 for adults for regular events, kids 7-14 are $5.
