(Middlebourne, WV) The Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour presented by Arizona Sports Shirts returns to life with the 3rd running of the “LET IT RIDE 55”, May 23rd- 25th at the Tyler County Speedway, the touring series premier event on the 2014 season schedule. With nearly $40,000 dollars on the line the Memorial Day Weekend purse again ranks among the highest in the nation including a possible $10,000+ if any driver can win three features during the weekend plus pick up the ‘Bullring Bounty’ during Sunday’s guaranteed $5,555 to win main event.

In addition to the lucrative weekend loot an all new format will also greet the best in the open wheel business to the “Bullring”. The now three day race weekend will feature a complete Friday night $1,000 to win show, a set of twin $1,200 to win complete shows that will allow at least forty competitors to enter an A-Main on Saturday night, and the famous “LET IT RIDE 55” $5,555 to win 55 Lap A-Main will cap off the weekends racing festivities with an alphabet soup style of events on Sunday evening. The format will allow racers to roll onto the speedway for a possible 130 A-Main laps featuring four Renegade of Dirt Modified Tour A-Mains. If a driver races their way into at least three A-Mains during the weekend they will receive a guaranteed $720 dollars in start monies as well the new format looks to spread out the winnings amongst the racers more equally to help aid all in their travels.

The 3rd Annual “LET IT RIDE 55” weekend will get started with a preliminary evening of events on Friday night featuring the ‘Beasts of the East’ as they battle it out for a cool grand and dial in their rides for the big money weekend ahead. Valuable Renegade of Dirt Modified Tour presented by Arizona Sport Shirts points will also be on the line when the tour’s regulars enter the ‘ring’ for the second time in 2014. On Saturday night the ‘nation’s coolest touring series’ will once again saddle up for a pair of $1,200 to win main events. The field will split into equal groups during the evenings pill draw activities where each group will then participate in a full night of events including time trials, heat races, last chance races, and a 25 lap main event. The top six in each feature will then transfer straight into Sunday nights $5,555 to win “LET IT RIDE 55” A-Main with the rest of the field from Saturday night transferring to either a B-Main or C-Main event. The remaining field of Saturdays non-qualifiers will transfer into a pair of D-Mains to be run on Sunday night.

Off track activities will also add the huge weekend of excitement featuring a plethora of options for all types of motorsports enthusiasts. On Friday night immediately following the evenings racing activities a pit party and DJ is slated to officially kick off the highly anticipated camping weekend. Racers and fans can mingle over their beverage of choice for a crazy night ‘Bullring Style’ as we celebrate the start of another great weekend of racing action. On Saturday fans are encourage to enjoy breakfast early or take part in some of the activities going on during the day. Vendors will be on display throughout the weekend selling event merchandise and your favorite driver and tour gear. Also on Saturday around 1pm will be the inaugural “Dirt Modified Hall of Fame” gathering where fans can interact and share stories with the 2014 DMHoF members. The observance to honor and award those in attendance will take place on Sunday evening during opening ceremonies each will receive a plaque among other items for their remarkable achievements. Also on Saturday from 3-5pm will be a Renegade of Dirt driver autograph session at the ‘Karsyns Krusaders’ booth featuring Kyle Strickler the current RoDT point leader, Travis Dickson, Amanda Stiffler, Nathon Loney, Tanner Wilson, and all of your favorite Renegade of Dirt regulars. As part of the ‘Karsyns Krusaders’ non-profit child cancer fund raising organization they will additionally be raffling off a fan basket each evening featuring tons of cool merchandise and race tickets. Ms Renegade of Dirt, Desiree Hixenbaugh can also be found hanging out at the Renegade of Dirt souvenir trailer throughout the weekend signing autographs and helping to get you geared up in the latest RoDT swag.

Also in action Memorial Day Weekend is the ‘Planet’s Most Powerful Stock Cars’ the World of Outlaw Late Model Series featuring Rick Eckert, Darrell Lanigan, Tim McCreadie, Chub Frank, Clint Smith, and many more. Watch the stars of the nation’s premier late model series as they battle it out on Saturday and Sunday night with $20,000 dollars up for grabs to the winner of the 3rd Annual “Jackpot 100”. Can anyone slow down Union, KY’s Darrell Lanigan who has reached victory lane in the each of the events first two races? On Saturday the World of Outlaw’s will take part in three 25 lap preliminary main events with a $1,000 dollar winner take all purse on the line. Each will also help set the field for Sunday nights 75 lap “JACKPOT WEEKEND” finale. In addition to the Renegades of Dirt and the World of Outlaws the STARS Modified Lite Touring series will also invade each night for a trifecta of ‘Bullring’ action each paying $500 to winner. On Saturday the EDGE Hotmods, FWD 4cylinders, and FASTRAK Late Models will qualify and heat race to set the lineups for their main events to be held on Sunday evening paying $700, $500, & $1000 respectively. The Tyler County Speedway is located 3 miles south of Middlebourne, WV at the Tyler County Fairgrounds on State Route 18, a mere 18 miles east of the Ohio River and half way between Parkersburg in the south and Wheeling to the North. Lots of great camping available at the spacious Tyler County Fairgrounds, primitive as well as hook ups. Ideal for a weekend getaway or a day of family fun, the fairground has shower facilities, shelters for picnicking, playground areas and nearby fishing available. No reservations for camping are available, first come first serve but plenty of room available. Camping is operated by the Tyler County Fair Association.
