FASTRAK Topless Friday Night Fights Race #1 Puts West Virginia Native back in Victory Lane at Beckley!!

(Prosperity, West Virginia) – The FASTRAK Racing Series’ “Pinnacle Dirt Racing Weekend of 2013” continued with “Friday Night Fights” at the 3/8th mile Beckley Motorsports Park in Prosperity, West Virginia. The TOPLESS Twin 30’s race #1 was intense and was just only the appetizer for what’s to take place at the World Championship Finals Saturday. When the night ended after crazy racing action #33 Chris Meadows from Crab Orchard, West Virginia was able to take down his 3rd Beckley victory of 2013 The Top 20 finishers in the Topless Twin 30’s race are also locked in to qualifying rounds for the 2013 World Championships.

Topless Twins Race #1 Recap –
Chris Meadows in the #33 Rocket Chassis was able to set FAST TIME in VP Race for the Pole Qualifying and also for this event LightninFAST.com with a 14.505 seconds lap around the 3/8th mile. Then he went on to take the win in his perspective heat race. After rallying through lap traffic in the late going of race #1 Meadows was able to get around #57 Lee Cooper and take the win. The race went 7 furious laps with 3-4 wide action before the 1st caution would fly with #99 Teddy Tate looping solo in turn 3. On the restart the big one took place in turn 2 as 5 cars we’re collected in the mealy involving #5g Scott Gerdak, #98 Caleb Lester, #83 Jensen Ford, #24 Tim Byrd and #25 David Collins Jr. On the restart after the choose rule Cooper was able to pull out in front holding off hard chargers of #20 Wayne Robertson, #111 Max Blair, #44 Brandon Umberger and #2 Dennis Franklin. Racing was wicked fast as the FASTRAK Warlords went at it neck in neck battling not only for the $2,000 to win show but also for one of the 20 spot to advance easily into World Championships Qualifying. A late Caution would fall on lap 28 when #33g Shane Greco looped around off turn 4 and then the transmission locked in reverse sending him to the infield down the front stretch. Before the caution #33 Chris Meadows was able to go topside and take the lead with Cooper trying to fight through lap traffic. Meadows captivated the crowd as he held off the car charge behind him to take down Topless Twin 30’s Race #1.

Running out the field was #24 Tim Byrd, #33g Shane Greco, #83 Jensen Ford, #85 HotRod Lamance.

In addition to the Top 20 finishers any FASTRAK drivers in the Top 5 in Touring or Top 10 in points at their Weekly Track have the opportunity to qualify for the World Championship Finals Saturday.
