FASTRAK Topless Friday Night Fights Race #2 Lands NEW 1st Time Touring Winner!!

(Prosperity, West Virginia) – The FASTRAK Racing Series’ “Pinnacle Dirt Racing Weekend of 2013” continued with “Friday Night Fights” at the 3/8th mile Beckley Motorsports Park in Prosperity, West Virginia. The TOPLESS Twin 30’s race #2 was intense and was just only the appetizer for what’s to take place at the World Championship Finals Saturday. The veteran racer that crossed the line to the checkered flag was a former national super late model contender but however loves FASTRAK close racing and started racing with the program in 2013. When the night ended after crazy racing action #A1 Tim Dohm was Cross Lanes, West Virginia was able to take down his 1st career victory FASTRAK Touring Series victory of 2013 .The Top 20 finishers in the Topless Twin 30’s race are also locked in to qualifying rounds for the 2013 World Championships.

Topless Twins Race #2 Recap –
Rick Williams in the #12 Rocket Chassis was able to set FAST TIME in VP Race for the Pole Qualifying and also for this event LightninFAST.com with a 14.670 seconds lap around the 3/8th mile. Then he went on to take the win in his perspective heat race. After the 4 wide salute and the awesome pyrotechnics show that FASTRAK always add to the show for the fans it was on for 30 exciting nail biting laps in Topless Twin 30’s Race #2. The race pitted #12 Rick Williams and #A1 Tim Dohm on the front row. The caution would fall on lap 1 when a 5 car incident broke loose in turn one. Drivers involved #77 Joel Prosser, #22 Jordan Dill, #11 Bobby Rohrer, #12 Tracie Sampson, #83x Tate Hughes however all continued. This lead up to a 13 lap green flag run and out in front clearly on the field was Dohm in the Rocket. However Williams, #8 Ron Parker and #49 Jonathon Davenport we’re hot in his heels ready for the slip to capitalize. Caution 2 would wave on the field when #K2 Kris Southern and #12 Tracie Sampson get together off turn 2 on lap 14. After another 6 lap green flag run the yellow linen would fall again after #2 Andrew Satterlee having a solo spin off turn 2. On the restart the fireworks of the night unfolded. #8 Ron Parker and #49 Jonathon Davenport locked horns going into turn 2 for the position behind Dohm and Williams. Contact was made and both cars got intertwined together with the chassis both cars violently to the bottom of the cushion. The drivers we’re able to continue after red flag but Parker parked it for the night and Davenport went to the rear after pitting for new right rear rubber. This set up a 9 lap shootout between Williams trying to run down Dohm. Also coming hard to the front after early caution was #83x Tate Hughes in the TNT House Car and an impressive run was made by the #4 Taylor Hicks having a stellar performance. Final yellow would come out after #11h Rick Lucas spun on his own off turn two. The restart was all Tim Dohm need as a late rally charge was made by #12 Rick Williams it just wasn’t enough as #A1 Tim Dohm was able to hold off the run out of turn four clinching his fists in the air taking down his 1st career FASTRAK National Touring series win in the Topless Twin 30’s race #2.

Official Results – Tim Dohm, Rick Williams, Taylor Hicks, Tate Hughes, Matt Long, Corey Gordon, Joe Cox, Landon Mitchell, Zach Milbee, Ryan Atkins, Michael Mitchell, Bobby Rohrer, Jonathan Davenport, Tracie Sampson, TJ Salango, Andrew Satterlee, Joel Prosser, Chad Wright, Kris Southern, Bobby Whitling we’re the Top 20 finishers. Rounding out the field Jordan Dill, Rick Lucas, Ron Parker, Chase McCormick.

In addition to the Top 20 finishers any FASTRAK drivers in the Top 5 in Touring or Top 10 in points at their Weekly Track have the opportunity to qualify for the World Championship Finals Saturday.
