WCS Set To “Blowout” 2013 Season

The final racing action at NAPA WCS is set for the week end of Friday and Saturday September 20th and 21st with seven class’ of racing vehicles ready to Blowout the 2013 racing season. On Friday night it will be open practice for all from 5 pm to 8 pm. A pit pass for Friday will be $10 and a two day pit pass will be available for $45 as a Saturday only pit pass will be $40. A Chicken BBQ will follow the practice session on Friday night.

Gates will open at Noon on Saturday with Hot Laps at 4:30 pm with racing, sponsored by DJ Directional Services, starting at 6 pm. The Fisher Performance Sprints will be chasing a $2,000 to win feature while the Lias Tire Late Models will go for a $1,200 to win feature. Both the Thrifty Muffler Super Stocks and the NAPA Modifieds have a $700 winners share for their features as the WQKT Mini Stocks and the Trucks (Hilltop Rules) have a $300 to win purse. The Mini Wedges will also be in action plus they will receive their Season Points awards.

All heat races,except for the Mini Wedges, will pay $50 to win, $30 for second, $15 for third and $10 for fourth. Also, the Sprints and the Late Models will have a special Crack the Whip races that will pay $200 to win followed by $150 for second with $100 to third place and fourth getting $50. Back in the day, Crack the Whip races started 10 cars for 10 laps with the first lap a ‘free’ lap and then from there on, the car that was last was eliminated until there was only two left. General Admission is $15 for the last race of 2013 at NAPA Wayne County Speedway.

The 2013 Awards Banquet is scheduled for Saturday, November 16th at the Pines Golf Club as doors will open at 5 pm with dinner at 6 pm followed by the awards ceremonies. Tickets are available for $28 for Adults and $15 for Children until Monday, September 30th and then after that tickets will be $32. The deadline for purchasing banquet tickets is October 31st and no tickets will be sold at the door.
