Conneaut, OH, (August 14, 2013): The Chris Clinger Memorial will have a qualifying format that will include time trials, heats, B-main(s), and a “Dash” to set determine the top starting positions for the feature. The dash will be comprised of the top two finishers from each heat. The top starting positions in the feature will be determined by the finish of the “Dash” with the winner starting from the pole. Twenty-nine cars will start the race which will run twenty-nine laps. It forty or more cars sign into the event, there will be a non-qualifier’s race that will pay Raceway 7’s regular feature race payout.
Lap money has been collected from a number of fans, sponsors, track officials, and race teams at the rate of $29 per lap. Many race tracks award lap-sponsored money to the leader of each lap but in the interest of helping low-financed teams, all monies collected will be evenly divided among all teams entering the event.
