The Bullring Back in Action This Saturday Night

(Middlebourne, WV) After a week off, to let race fans, teams and track staff catch their breath after the Memorial weekend running of the World of Outlaw Jackpot 100, the Tyler County Speedway will roar back into action this Saturday Night, June 8th with a fan friendly Bullring Birthday Bash. The Tyler County Speedway and Hometown Racing Association invite everyone out to check out the area’s premier dirt track as we celebrate the speedways 39th Anniversary that opened in 1974.

A full card of intense racing action as only the ‘bullring’ can provide will await in honor of thirty nine years of continuous fast family fun. Featuring a FANtastic Five show that includes the J&R Excavating Late Models presented by Midcap Land & Timber, Peoples Bank FASTRAK Late Models, Two Brothers Motorsports EDGE Modifieds, HotMods, ModLites and MWRA Mini Wedges will all be on tap. General admission is priced at $12, while children 10 and under are free, while entry into the pits is just $26. It is also FASTRAK drivers appreciation night as all racers in the Peoples Bank FASTRAK late model division will receive a FREE pit pass courtesy of Hometown Racing Association.

Be sure to bring the kids, as the first Autograph Night of the season will welcome race fans and family down onto the frontstretch at intermission for an up close look at the cars and opportunity to meet and greet all your favorite drivers. Also on tap for the youngsters will be the speedway mascot Dusty’s annual Birthday Party for the Kids Club prior to racing along with many other kid games. Be sure to come early and enjoy the new ‘Bullring Bistro’ concession stand featuring Tyler County Speedway favorites like the Coleman’s Fish Sandwich and Hillbilly Hot Dog featuring Wanda’s Hotdog Sauce plus several new items including corndogs, chicken tenders and taco in a bag.

A highly competitive season is fast approaching the midway point and lots of parity and different winners have been the theme thus far in the 2013 season. Making trips to victory lane so far in the J&R Excavating Super Late Models presented by Midcap Land & Timber include youngster Derek Doll, Paul Wilmoth, Jacob Hawkins, Jared Hawkins, Josh Richards and Darrell Lanigan. Picking up Two Brothers Motorsports Modified wins include Bird Wilson, Deana Groves, Tanner Wilson, Jesse Wisecarver and Nick Hoffman among the heavy hitters gracing the ‘bullring’ victory circle.

Hitting paydirt in the Peoples Bank FASTRAK late model division include Kyle Thomas a trio of times, Chris Carpenter and most recently Max Blair picking up the Northeast Touring event. A hotly contested Chris Metz State Farm Insurance Modlite division has seen six different winners lay claim to a prestigious ‘bullring’ victory including Josh Baldwin, Rick Ament, Brandon Fluharty, Mitch Ward, Tracy Fritter and Alan Knepper. The Hotmod division has been ultra-competitive with Travis Thomas and Mike Conkle picking up a pair of w’s while Chad Smith and Thomas Sigler have also parked their ride in the winners circle.

Located in the scenic WV hills, the Tyler County Speedway is located just 4 miles south of Middlebourne on State Route 18 at the fairgrounds and featuring the FANtastic 5 weekly program that consist of Super Late Models, FASTRAK Late Models, EDGE Modifieds, joined by the EDGE HotMods, ModLites, and as always the MWRA Mini-wedges will open the show at the Bullring. As the best weekly card in the Ohio Valley region provides more bang for the race fans hard earned buck featuring double the Late Model excitement and a triple dose of modified action at fan friendly pricing.
