FREMONT, Ohio – Fremont Speedway has bumped up its starting time for its season opener scheduled for Saturday, April 13 due to the colder weather forecast.

Gates on Saturday will open for Pepsi Night at 1 p.m. with racing slated to begin at 4 p.m. Racing will be the Fort Ball Pizza Palace 410 Sprints; Fremont Federal Credit Union 305 Sprints, the Ohio AAA Auto Club Dirt Trucks and the Surfin’ Sweepstakes Compacts.

“We’ve been watching the weather all week. And while it’s supposed to be sunny Saturday, the high temperature is only going to reach the mid 40s. By moving the start time up, we’re hoping to give the fans and race teams a great show and get them home before it gets too cold,” said Fremont Speedway Promoter Rich Farmer. “We really want to get the season opener in and make sure everyone has a great time and is as comfortable as they can be.”
