ADRA “Dirt Fever 35” At Jackson County 1st Stop In 2013

Apple Grove, WV. March 12, 2012~ The 2012 ADRA Champions were honored at the 2nd Annual ADRA Awards Banquet on Saturday March 2, 2013 in the Wellston Room of the Ponderosa Steak House in Jackson, OH. “Hot Rod” Rod Conley took top honors for 2012 as he held on to edge out 1st Runner-up Doug Drown by a mere 14 points. A slim 19 points was all the separated Drown from 2nd runner-up Russ Frohnapfel. Zach Dohm, Tim Dohm, Greggie Oliver, Donnie Moran, Jason Jameson, Freddie Carpenter, and Eddie Carrier Jr. completed the ADRA Dirt Late Model Champions list for 2012.

Doug Drown took the Dominator Performance Hard Charger of the Year Award which includes a complete nose and fender kit from Dominator Performance. Drown took over the driving duties for the Weekley Electric #63 Rocket after the 1st race and thereby was only scored for 8 of the 9 events. Donnie Moran was the only repeat winner of 2012 with victories at Muskingum County Speedway and WV Motor Speedway leaving us with 8 different winners in 9 events. The ADRA Dirt Late Models presented by Suddenlink will open our season at the Jackson County Speedway on Saturday April 20 for the 1st event of the 2013 ADRA DirtMasters Challenge. Challenge #1 will be the “Jackson County Dirt Fever 35.” The ADRA DirtMasters Challenge will consist of tentatively 10-15 events all in the WV, OH, and KY Tri-state region with the final event being the ADRA DirtMasters Championship. Participants will be scored on their best 10 finishes. Once a participant has been scored for 10 events they may begin replacing lower scores with higher scores from better finishes in additional events. This allows us blue collar folks to be able miss a race for work or vacation or to just go fishing and make it up later. We will require participants to have entered a minimum 7 events to be eligible for cash or prizes however. The 2012 ADRA Champion will be awarded the 2013 ADRA DirtMasters Cup at that final event scheduled for October details TBA.
