Dave Airgood collected his third win of the season and Troy Johnson got his first win of the season in the Bonnell’s Collision Center E-Mod “makeup”. Then a full regular card of racing was presented. In the first Bonnell Auto Group Economod heat Mark Titus got sideways at the end of the back straight and executed a complete roll. He was OK but needed towed pitside by two wreckers. Besides Airgood’s double Gary Eicher scored his third Bonnell’s Collision Service E-Mod win of the year while Jimmy Kennerknecht scored his third win of the season in the Campbell’s Mini Storage Street Stock feature. Tyler Frankenberry also got his third win of the year in the Bonnell’s Auto Sales Economods. At halfway Bossard was still extending his lead over Santee with Airgood again looking to the inside of Santee. A lap past halfway Ed Bolyard spun in turn two, bringing the race under caution for the first time and eliminating Bossard’s lead. In turn one after green, points leader Kyle Zimmerman went high on the track, losing several spots, eventually falling back to thirteenth. At three laps left Airgood was next to Bossard at the line and had a two-length lead a lap later. Airgood went on to his third win of the season over Bossard, Santee, Alan Dellinger, and Wendall Pinckney.

The May 19th feature for the Bonnell Collision Service E-Mod feature started with Mike Kinney and Troy Johnson on the front row with Kinney taking the immediate lead. Johnson was the leader at the end of three with Gary Eicher coming to second a lap later. Ken Zimmer got by Eicher on lap six and started fighting for the front spot. Zimmer got next to the leader every set of turns but Johnson kept pulling back out front on every straight. Zimmer was alongside at nine to go but Johnson led again at twelve compete. At five to go Eicher was trying for second with points leader Joel Watson coming into the mix as Johnson started lengthening his lead. Johnson led Zimmer, Eicher, Watson, and Brent Rhebergen to the checkers. In Victory Lane Johnson noted it was his first Raceway 7 win in several years.

Brad Cole and Jason Easler brought the Sunnyside Farm Transit Mini Stocks to green with Easler grabbing the immediate lead. By four laps compete Zach Downes was up to fourth from his twelfth spot on the starting grid. At five laps in Scott Gill came to a halt at the pit entrance and yellow was shown. The top five were Easler, Brad Cole, Gary Drake, Zach Downes, and points leader Joe Campbell. At green Campbell came to third but caution was shown for debris on the back straight, the front bumper cover from Downes’ car. At halfway Downes was up to second as Easler was opening his lead. At seven complete Downes had closed the gap and was battling for the lead. At nine laps lapped traffic came into play with Downes taking the top side while Easler took the low side. The moved worked for Downes and he went on to win his fifth of the season over Downes, Kyle Adkins, Dillion Speer, and Campbell.

Jimmy Kennerknecht and Tony Marotto were the front row for the Campbell’s Mini Storage Street Stock fifteen lap feature. Kennerknecht, a two time winner, took the early lead but a restart was needed when Mike Horton spun in turn three. Again Kennerknecht led from green but Troy Dezarn spun in turn one and was collected hard by Bill Applebee. Applebee headed to the pit while Dezarn needed towed pitside with heavy damage. This time Jared Larson spun in turn three but the leaders finished the lap before the yellow was shown. For the restart it was Kennerknecht, Marotto, Don McGuire, Calvert, and Gary Miller. By three laps complete Tom Deutsch was up to fifth, then got by Calvert at five laps in. At this green Don McGuire quickly came to second with Deutsch getting to third with three to go. Garrett Calvert spun in turn four with the white flag flying. The one lap dash to the glory had Kennerknecht, McGuire, Deutsch, Marotto, and Mike Horton leading the way. On the final lap Calvert got back to fifth. It was Kennerknecht’s third win of the season and will extend his points lead with only one week left in the season.

Steve Haefke and Tyler Frankenberry brought the Bonnell’s Auto Sales Economods to green. Mitchell Wright spun, collecting Eric Reinwald and negating the green. Again Haefke and Reinwald brought the field to green. Frankenberry led lap one looking for his third win of the season. Yellow flew at three laps when Jeff Wick spun at the end of the back straight. At turn two Buzz Seitz went way high, eventually collecting Ashley Rogers, who then also spun. Another lap was complete when Matt Alexander spun in four, again slowing the race. Frankenberry led the way at green with Haefke and Devin Henry side by side for second, Haefke getting the spot. Before the leaders got to the stripe Reinwald spun in turn four. Yet again Frankenberry brought the field back on green over points leader Haefke, Henry, Mitchell Wright, and Brandon Blackshear. Over the remaining distance, Airgood continued to lead, winning over Wright, Dellinger, Zimmerman, and Wanzer.

The final feature of the night was the regularly scheduled Bonnell’s Collision Center E-Mods with Troy Johnson and Ken Zimmer up front. Johnson led lap one with Casey Bowers challenging Zimmer for the runner-up spot. Jeremy Double hit the spin cycle in turn two of lap two, slowing the event under caution. Johnson led again after green until Double spun again in turn three. Josh McDonald, Joel Watson, and Rick Pratschler got together in turn four at four laps complete with McDonald and Pratschler coming to a stop and Watson heading to the pit. McDonald also headed pitside but Watson rejoined the race before green again was over the field. Up front for the green Johnson and Eicher raced for the lead with Eicher taking over at seven complete. At halfway it was Eicher, Johnson, Zimmer, Bowers, and Josh Ferry.
