Tyler County Speedway Prepares For ‘Back to School’ Kids Night

After an off-week for the 54th Annual Tyler County Fair, the Bullring will roar back to life this Saturday, August 12th with a ‘Back to School’ Kids Night celebration. Bring the kiddos to the track Saturday as the Hometown Racing Association will treat the young race fans to several kid friendly activities loaded with lots of fun. Kicking off the program will be the Gear 2 Graphics MWRA ‘Next Gen 400’ Mini Wedge National Championship as the youth league of auto racing will square off in their biggest event of the summer. Four lucky kids will pick up a $100 gift certificate via random draw courtesy of Gear 2 Graphics in Middlebourne. A kids club pit tour prior to the racing action along with a ‘Back to School’ Backpack giveaway at intermission will keep the fun rolling at the Tyler County Speedway.

Continuing with the most fan friendly prices in motorsports the Tyler County Speedway is pleased to offer the many hometown race fans of Tyler County with a special BOGO Night (residents w/proof Buy One Get One Promotion). Bring the family, a friend, or a neighbor and enjoy an action packed night at the ‘Bullring’ with a Buy One Get One offer for all Tyler County residents.

Calling all 4 Cylinder racers! The 4 Cylinder race team of April and Bill Tennant have swept the season to date at the ‘Bullring’ going a perfect 10 for 10 on the season. The talented husband and wife duo from Colliers, WV have been on a roll at the ‘Bullring’ as Bill Tennant driver of the blue and yellow deuce machine has picked up seven wins to date while wife April aboard the popular ‘Lightning McQueen’ lookalike currently sits on three wins. With the duo currently terrorizing the competition ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ style, the Hometown Racing Association promoters of the Tyler County Speedway has decided to place a $200 ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ Bullring Bounty on the duo. The Bounty will continue to escalate by $200 each week with the culmination being at the 49th Annual Hillbilly 100. If the ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ Bullring Bounty goes unclaimed the money will go to the Tennant race team. Can one of our ‘Bullring’ regulars step up their game and pull an upset? Will an outsider ride into town and steal the glory? Or will the Husband and Wife duo continue to ride roughshod over the division?

A full race card of J& Excavating Super Late Models presented by Midcap Land and Timber, Appalachian Mineral Title Company FASTRAK Late Models, 2 Brothers Motorsports AMRA Modifieds, Sigler Fabrication EDGE Hotmods presented by Poske’s Performance Parts, Jenkins Auto Parts Modlites, 4 Cylinders and Gear 2 MWRA Mini Wedges are on the card. Gates open at 4pm with MWRA Mini Wedges getting underway at 6. General admission is just $12 with children 10 and under free and pit pricing is $30.

Tyler County Speedway is located 3 ½ miles south of Middlebourne, WV on State Route 18 at the Tyler County Fairgrounds approximately an hour from Wheeling, Clarksburg & Parkersburg.
