One of the busiest weekends in all of motorsports is upon us. For BOSS, a new venture awaits on the busy weekend ahead. The series will be in action Saturday night at one of its oldest hosting venues, Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. The tour has made an annual visit to Mercer dating back to the first full season in 2012. One night later, the last true outlaws of auto racing will make the trek back west for the inaugural visit to the Mansfield Motor Speedway in Mansfield, Ohio which was just converted back to a dirt track after nearly two decades as a paved oval.

Dustin Smith of Russiaville, Indiana is the current points leader after 2 completed events and one rain out. Coming into the weekend, Smith is the only touring driver that already has a win at Mercer Raceway Park, which came during the 2014 visit. Other winners at Mercer with BOSS include current All Star driver Brandon Spithaler (2012 & 2013), Brandon Matus (2015) and Cooper Clouse one year ago. Smith will also lead a field of 18 full time touring stars as they battle to become the first BOSS winner at Mansfield Motor Speedway.

For Mercer Raceway Park on Saturday, pit gates will open at 4 pm with drivers meeting at 5:45 and hot laps immediately following. Adult general admission is just $15, with seniors over 60 admitted for $13 and students ages 9-15 are $7 while 8 and under are free. Also, a “family pass” is available for $32 which covers 2 adults and up to 4 kids of any age. For race teams, pit passes are $30 for all ages. Fuel WILL be available at the track and NO MUFFLERS are required for this event. Also, there will be no transponder rental fees courtesy of EJF Professional Race Scoring.

On Sunday, pit gates will open at 2 pm at Mansfield Motor Speedway. General admission gates will open at 4 pm. Pit passes will be $35 for this event. Once again, NO MUFFLERS will be required and no transponder fees courtesy of EJF Scoring. Fuel WILL be available to the track.

The official host hotel for the weekend is the Park Inn by Radisson located at 377 New Castle Road, West Middlesex, PA 16159. Be sure to ask for the BOSS Racer’s Rate of $95 per night plus tax. There is ample parking for race rigs and security will be provided. Check-In time is 3 pm and check-out is 12 noon. To make a reservation, call 724-528-2501.
