Skyline Speedway Back Under The Lights This Friday Night

(Guysville, Ohio) Just 12 days removed from a very popular Sunday afternoon season opener on April 2nd, the Skyline Speedway is set to be back in action under the lights this coming Friday night April 14th. After the season opener that drew in excess of 120 cars including many of the regions top talents, this Friday’s event is expected to keep the excitement rolling as the racing program will include all regular classes along with some specials for fans, as the Skyline Speedway looks forward to kicking off the holiday weekend.

The very busy evening of racing is expected to once again see Skyline Speedway play host to some of the regions most competitive talents, as the track expects some stout fields, especially within the AMRA Late Model and AMRA Modified divisions. With the season opener seeing long popular names taking home wins such as Carpenter, Dickson and Dennis, it should come as no surprise to see another packed pit area full of quality talents this coming Friday night. The track crew itself, has been working hard since the morning after the season opener to ensure the surface is smooth, dust is at a minimum and racing is exciting.

While the racing action is sure to give fan’s plenty of excitement on the track, the Skyline Speedway promises to make Friday’s event the perfect kickoff for a fun holiday weekend for the whole family. With the Easter holiday on Sunday, the track will keep with that theme and will give all youngsters in attendance the chance to meet the Easter Bunny and take their chance at winning an Easter themed prize basket courtesy of the track (Kids 10 & Under get in free). In addition to the Easter activities, the track will be hosting a $5 College Night, where any current student who presents their ID, will receive $5 general admission, as the track works to give students a chance to get away from the books and enjoy a night at the races. (all area colleges accepted)

This Friday’s event will see gates open at 4 PM with drivers meeting tentatively set for 6:45. Racing is set to begin at 7:05 with the evening’s hot lap session and heat races to immediately follow. General admission remains at just $12 with kids 10 & under receiving free general admission, while pit passes are set at $30.

The Skyline Speedway staff hopes to see another great crowd this Friday and promises fans that the track will run a quick, efficient and exciting show and hope to see you there!
