Jim Dunn Memorial Set For Sunday June 18th

GIBBYS DTRN LLC is proud to Announce the 35th annual $10,000 to win #D1RT JIM DUNN MEMORIAL will be coming home in 2017 to the Jeremy Krouskoupf Promoted Midway Speedway in Crooksville, Ohio . Midway Speedway was the Home of the Jim Dunn Memorial for 26 years from 1989 – 2014 where we all got to witness some of the greatest races Midway Speedway has ever seen.

In Talks with the Dunn Family , Jim’s Ties to Midway Speedway run very deep. Midway was the first place Jim ever witnessed a race as a young race fan and Midway was also the first race track Jim ever took laps on. With the Family Business Dunn Trucking & Jims Old Race Garage just five miles up the road and most of the Dunn family and long time friends are all from the Roseville-Crooksville area where Jim grew up, it was only fitting to bring it back home to Midway Speedway where it was for 26 years. The 2017 Jim Dunn Memorial will pay Late Models $10,000 to win $500 to start and the Modifieds will pay a hefty $1,500 to win and $150 to start . Other Support classes will be named in April ’17 …

The Past TWO YEARS , We were all very impressed with the shows in 2015 at Muskingum County Speedway in Zanesville, Ohio (Winner Jared Hawkins) and at Ohio Valley Speedway in Parkersburg, WV in 2016 (Winner Freddie Carpenter) and wanted to thank those speedways for stepping up and giving us a place to race when we really needed a home to continue on the long time tradition of the Jim Dunn Memorial. The NEW Friends we were able to meet , New Business Partners, New Dirt Track Fans, New Drivers, New Vendors, and the experiences we all shared will never be forgotten. Working together is the only way to go and very important to keeping this race here in the Ohio Valley Region where it definitely belongs.

Just check out the winners list from 1983 – 2016, some of the best drivers in the Nation has won this race and the tradition will continue this season at MIDWAY SPEEDWAY in Crooksville, Ohio.
