Jackson County To Host AMRA Modified Mayhem Friday

(Jackson, Ohio) Following another unfortunate rainout due to Mother Nature’s unwillingness dominance over the 2016 season, the Jackson County Speedway in Jackson Ohio is set to return to racing action this coming Friday August 26th with the track’s AMRA “Mod Mayhem” event. The event which will be highlighted by both AMRA Modified and AMRA Sport Mod specials, is sure to draw stout fields of cars to the 3/8th mile oval. With the Phantom Racing Gear sponsored AMRA Modifieds paying a $1,000 top prize and the C&M Racing Equipment sponsored AMRA Sport Mods paying $500 to win, this event is sure to give fans their money’s worth as many of the regions top open wheel Modified talents will do battle for not only their shot at the win, but for AMRA National points in either of the two respective divisions scheduled to competeing division.

2016 has been a season of change for Jackson County as the venue is now back under the guidance of owner Brad McCown and his staff, and has saw both the return of AMRA sanctioned racing as well as numerous track/facility upgrades plus exciting racing programs. Despite Mother Nature’s dominance over the middle portion of the season, Jackson County officials hope to ‘kick start’ the excitement this Friday with the “Mod Mayhem” event and reclaim the excitement that fans expect at the track known for it’s “Friday night excitement.” With previous AMRA Modified winners during 2016 at Jackson County including the likes of Mark Dickson, Nick Hoffman and most recently Eric Hatfield, the track has seen excellent racing and this Friday should be no differenet. Also with the AMRA Sport Mods not competing elsewhere this Friday night, the AMRA Sport Mods should provide their share of excitement once again as the young division is sure to see solid numbers and close racing in the young but competitive class.

Along with the elevated payouts, the AMRA portion of the evening will feature bonus opportunities for competing teams including a $50 Fast Time awarded to both Mods and Sport Mods from Hall’s Fleet Services plus a Modified Hard Charger award of $100 from A&M Commodities and even a Modified “Bad Break” award of $100 from A&A Truck Stop. To top it all off, the track will be award 3′ tall Trophies to the evening top placers courtesy Graphic Creations for both Modifieds and Sport Mods. Also competing throughout the night will be an exhibition Mini Late Model event plus a 50 Lap Enduro to close out the night.

Fans are encouraged to check out this Friday’s “Mod Mayhem” event at Jackson County which will see gates open at 5 with a drivers meeting set a 7 and hot laps at 7:30. General Admission will be $10 for adults (kids 12 & under are free). Pit admission will be $25 while Kids Pits will be $15.
