After a standing room only crowd enjoyed the third edition of ‘Pack the Track’ at the Tyler County Speedway the Hometown Racing Association will present another family friendly night at the ‘Bullring’. This Saturday Night, June 18th just bring your armband back from FREE Night and see another night of racing for just $5. A $5 Super Summer Saver Special will see a full night of action in all Tyler County Speedway divisions highlighted with the 6th Annual Pat Herrick Memorial for Modlites paying $500 to win.

The Chris Metz State Farm Insurance Modlites presented by Cedar Run Farms have had strong numbers during the 2016 season. As the season nears the halfway point the competitive division has seen several different feature winners including two first timers in youngsters Daniel Eddy and Ryan Saffell grabbing wins along with perennial frontrunner Mitch Ward snaring a victory with Tyler Riggs being the only driver in the division with a pair of wins. The mighty Modlites will look to pick up the coveted running of the Pat Herrick Memorial on Saturday Night in honor of the late great Herrick who was the inaugural late model feature winner on the speedway’s 1974 opening day. The driver of the familiar #25 was a longtime speedway fan favorite and his legend continues today as his grandson Brandon Fluharty pilots the traditional #25 in the Chris Metz State Farm Insurance Modlite division and will look to add his name to the Herrick Memorial win list along with a host of others.

Upcoming Events at the Bullring
Saturday Night, June 25th the Tyler County Speedway will welcome the regions best crate late model racers to the ‘Bullring’ for the FASTRAK Late Model 15th Annual Eaton/Childers King of the Ring race. Always a special night at the Tyler County Speedway as we celebrate two of the speedways past royalty in Beecher Eaton and ‘Wild’ Bill Childers. A potent field of FASTRAK Late Models will be on hand to wage war in the $2,000 to win Invitational. Plus as the seasons next major event looms, the ‘2nd Annual Mega 100’ it will be Mega Qualifiers in all divisions on this banner night.

Be sure to catch the next Night of Destruction as the Tyler County Speedway and Thomas Motorsports will present Kings of Karnage II as another evening of bent metal will thrill fans of all ages on Saturday Night, July 2nd. The Full Size and Compacts will be back for double Derbies and Figure 8’s once again and the youngsters will take their turn to be like Mom & Dad in the first ever ‘Power Wheels Derby’. All setting the stage for Sunday, July 3rd’s first ever ‘Patriot 200’ a unique event highlighted by a ten division feature only fan friendly format and a giant Fourth of July Fireworks display!

The $100,000 Mega-100 at Tyler County is on the Horizon!
(Mars, PA) The mountains of WV will rumble with three days of pure racing action at the 2nd annual Mega 100 at Tyler County Speedway on Thursday-Friday-Saturday, July 7-8-9. This massive $100,000 event features huge payoffs for the Super Late Models and the Renegades of Dirt Modifieds, and will also feature the Steel Block Late Models, FASTRAK Late Models, STARS Modlites, EDGE Hotmods, 4 Cylinders and MWRA Mini Wedges.

The Super Late Models will be racing for $10,000 possible to win. Friday’s 45 lap championship will pay $3,000 to the winner with $300 for 20th. The 2016 ‘Earl Hill Championship’ on Saturday will pay $5,000 to the winner and $400 for 20th for the 55 lap feature. If the same driver wins both races, they will win a $2,000 bonus. This year will include a full racing program on each night for the Super Late Models with heat races, consolations and feature. 20 cars are slated to start the feature, but if 32 cars are in attendance 22 cars will start with positions 21st + paying $300. Tim Dohm of Cross Lanes, WV won the 2015 Friday night even, while Jared Hawkins made a daring last-lap, last turn pass to win the $5,000 finale on Saturday.

The Renegades of Dirt Modifieds will race all three nights for $4,000 to win each night, totaling $12,000 to win. All three nights will feature a complete racing program with 30 lap features on Thursday and Friday and a 40 lap finale on Saturday. Saturday will also feature a $600 to win non-qualifiers race.

By virtue of his first 2016 Super Late Model feature win Derek Doll has punched his ticket into the Aug. 27th Season Championship Sunoco Winners 5K Shootout. A strong field will look to square off in a winner take all season ending shootout.
