Fans filled the stands at Hilltop Speedway for a full night of racing action including the $1,000 to win for the John’s Custom Embroidery & Screen Printing Modifieds.

First out for the night was the John’s Custom Embroidery and Screen Printing modifieds with a field of 21. Setting fast time for the night was “The Outlaw” Jesse Wisecarver with a 15.729. Heat race winners were “Stormin” Norman Aronhalt and DJ Cline with Bruce Takach picking up the dash win.

Bringing the field to the start of their $1,000 to feature event was Bruce Takach. Once under green, “The Outlaw” Wisecarver did not waste any time making his way to the front leaving the “Toboso Bullet” Jimmy Smith, Lance Elson, and Takach to battle it out for second through fourth. Taking second, looking in at Wisecarver was Smith, meanwhile, “Rockin” Robin Duston would work his way to fourth working the bumper of Elson. Regardless, even the strong run from Smith could not falter Wisecarver who would go on to pick up the $1,000 pay day. Second went to Jimmy Smith, third Lance Elson, fourth Robin Duston and fifth went to DJ Cline.

Next to hit the track was the Holmes Tire late models with a field of 16. Fast qualifier for the division was Shane McLoughlin with a time of 14.591. Heat race winner was Shane Campbell with “Dangerous” Dave Hornikel picking up the dash win.

With the field set, it was Hornikel on the pole, jumping out to an early lead was Kyle Moore. As “The Flying Ace” Corey Conley claimed second, a battle for third would ensue between Hornikel and Rick Conley. Unfortunately, Hornikel would come to a stop at the top of turn four bringing out the caution and ultimately going pit side. Back under green, it was again Moore to the top spot with Conley looking in. Lap for lap the two would battle it out with Moore maintaining his lead. As the laps dwindled the two would work through lap traffic allowing Conley to reel in Moore. Coming into the last lap, Conley would use lap traffic to his advantage over taking the top spot to pick up his third consecutive win at the Hill. Rounding out the top five was Kyle Moore, Rick Conley, Steve Prince and Vic Hottinger.

The Rigz Towing modlites had a field of ten with Kacy Campbell and Tanner McLoughlin each picking up a heat race win. Bunching the field up, looking to take the green, Kacy Campbell would take the top spot over the rest of the field. With Campbell out front, it was Larry Moran who from his ninth place starting position, would work his way up to second. However, after going through the infield, troubles would cause Moran to fall back to seventh. With caution out, it would provide Brandon Shaw the opportunity to close the gap on front runner Campbell. Nevertheless, back under green, Campbell was able to hold off the late charge by Shaw to go on to pick up his first feature win of the season. Third went to Clint Snyder, fourth to Josh Crider and fifth went to Tanner McLoughlin.

Rolling onto the track with a field of 17 was the Holmes Tire street stocks. Setting fast time for the second week was Bob Daugherty with a 16.812. Picking up the only heat race win was Kevin Potts with fast qualifier Daugherty claiming the dash win placing him on the pole for the night.

Setting the pace to the green, Daugherty and Mike Lonas would go side-by-side into one with Lonas taking the lead off of two. Taking third was David Potts as Kyle Michalo, Kevin Potts, and Rusty Redman would dice it out for fourth through sixth. However, caution would come out as Michalo spun, bunching the field back up for the restart. With racing back underway, Lonas would again take the top spot as David Potts worked around Bob Daugherty for second. However, Potts would be out of laps as it was Mike Lonas once again in victory lane for his third consecutive win. Finishing fourth was Kevin Potts with Dustin Daugherty finishing fifth.

The Bugs-R-Gone trucks had a field of eight with Cole Lillibridge picking up the only heat race win. After inverting the top six from the heat it was “WildHare” Travis Hare bringing the field to the start. With racing action underway and making his way from sixth to the lead coming off of two was Lillibridge. With Lillibridge out front, Travis Winterringer and John Large would battle side-by-side for second with Winterringer ultimately taking the spot. However, it was too late to make a challenge at the top spot as Cole Lillibridge would go on to pick up his first feature win of the season. Finishing fourth was Preston Kelly while fifth went to Dwayne Powell.

Rounding out the night’s events were the Short Track Fire and Rescue mini stocks with a field of 18. Heat race winners were Michael Rose and Brad Workman, setting them on the front row for the night’s feature. As Rose brought the field to the green, he would take the early lead as Tony Mullinnex would take second leaving Brad Workman and Colton St. John to battle side-by-side for third. With a caution out, the field would bunch up allowing Workman and St. John to take over second and third positions while Rose maintained his lead. Working his way around Workman, St. John would set his sights on Rose. However, unable to overtake, it was Michael Rose who would pick up his first win of the season. Rose was followed by St. John, Nova Martin, Tyler Parsons and Tony Mullinnex.
