Midway Speedway To Re-Open Sunday June 5th

We are so excited to announce our plans for opening night which will be Sunday June 5, 2016. On the card will be the Super Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, Street Stocks, 4 Cylinders and Mod-Lites. All times and gate prices will be announced in the near future.

Working together with Gibbys DTRN LLC, we have been able to get a ‪#‎D1RT‬ Jim Dunn Memorial Qualifier here at Midway Speedway for Sunday June 5th which will be an awesome added bonus to our 30 lap $2,000 to win grand opening special for the Super Late Models and $1,500 top prize for the Modifieds. In Both classes, the top finisher from Midway Speedway on June 5th who doesn’t make the feature it the 34th annual Jim Dunn Memorial at the Ohio Valley Speedway on June 18th will get an automatic starting spot. That’s a guaranteed $500 and shot at $10,000 for a late model driver and a guaranteed $150 and a shot at $2,000 for a modified driver as a bonus for our drivers here at Midway. Our track will also be a Gibbys DTRN King Championship Points track in 2016.

We have also added the Mod-Lites, Street Stocks and 4 Cylinders for Sunday June 5th. Keep an eye open for early Sunday start times, gate prices and full purses. Our purses here at Midway are guaranteed.

Our goal will be to get people on the road and out of here at a decent hour on Sunday June 5th after they witness some of the best racing you will ever see right here at Midway Speedway in 2016 on the red clay in the hills of Perry County, Ohio.

Super Late Models and Modifieds will be racing on an open tire brand and compound rule for 2016 . With only 5-8 races planned, we didn’t want to make anyone buy any one kind of tire so we will be open tire for the 2016 racing season.

Rain Date for the June 5th Jim Dunn Memorial Qualifier will be Sunday June 12th. If we race on Sunday June 5th with an awesome turn-out, we will race again on the rain date on Sunday June 12th. More details about that will be announced soon.

We sure hope everyone can join us on Oopening night June 5th. We didn’t want to open up and run against anyone else in the area so we have decided to give Sunday a go and see how many racers are interested in joining us as we continue to upgrade the facility for the fans.
