Chillicothe, OH (2/9/2016) – Atomic Speedway owner/promoter Brad McCown has listened to the racers, fans and other promoters in assembling The Ohio Sprint Car Series. Racers told him they wanted to be able to run at different tracks and not miss out on the points at Atomic Speedway, the central track to 410 sprint car racing in Southern Ohio. Competitors also wanted a rule package that was consistent with other groups and series and still be within the budget of a working family. Racers also wanted a race night format that would put on a great competitive show in a timely manner. Brad and the OSCS has worked to assemble a close to 20 race schedule at 8 different race tracks that span across Ohio, including three events co-sanctioned with the FAST Series, each paying $3,000 to win. Promoters have worked so that most of the race weekends are at two tracks that are in close proximity of each other making it an easier travel for the racers and also giving Sprint Car fans the opportunity for a full weekend of Sprint Car action.

With a very lucrative point fund that is growing along with a very competitive payouts at all events this series is sure to draw the up and coming sprint racers, the weekend warriors as well as the veterans of the Sprint Car world. The season ending points purse will be $3000 guaranteed to win and still growing and $600 for tenth along with contingencies ranging from $500-$850 for the top ten along with a season long hard-charger award sponsored by KSE Racing Products. As new sponsors continue to partner the fund will continue to grow for the top 10 positions. In addition to the growing point fund, every Ohio Sprint Car Series race will pay a minimum of $2,500 to win, and $300 to start the A-Main. With prominent Buckeye State tracks such as Atomic Speedway, Millstream Speedway, Attica Raceway Park, Jackson County Speedway, Moler Raceway Park, Legendary Hilltop Speedway, Fremont Speedway and Wayne County Speedway, on the schedule the 2016 Ohio Sprint Car Series looks to be action packed and who better to keep the action moving while still keeping things under control is none other than National Sprint Car Hall of Famer, Jack Hewitt who has come on-board as Race/Competition Director for the series.

Currently on the contingency sponsor list are: All-Pro Cylinder Heads, Maxim Chassis, KSE Racing Products, Hinchman Indy, RB Designs, and Saldana Racing Products. Sponsors who are participating in the racers sticker packages are Graphic Creations, Phantom Racing Gear, Trackside Camping, Dickson Racing Shocks, Millhone Motorsports, Callies Performance, Kears Speed Shop, Hoosier Racing Tire, Indy Race Parts, Octane Race Products and Poske’s Performance Parts.
