(Middlebourne, WV) Just days after the announcement that the Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour would be aligning with the American Motor Racing Association in 2016 momentum is already on the rise. With social media a buzz about the Renegades of Dirt unifying it’s program with the AMRA drivers from across the eastern U.S. appear very excited about the divisions future heading into the 2016 season. The hype and anticipation for the new cooperation among motorsports premier eastern modified entities is escalating.

Officials from the Renegades of Dirt are excited to announce that Atomic Speedway has been added to the 2016 season schedule. This will be the Renegades first ever visit to the 3/8 mile former KC-Raceway in Chillicothe, Ohio. The venue has seen tremendous growth in the last couple seasons under new ownership of promoter Brad McCown. McCown is known for his aggressive promotional skills which has placed Atomic back on the national map and will go even bigger with his “Buckeye Nationals” event on May 13th & 14th.

Atomic Speedway will welcome the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on May 13th & 14th for a highly anticipated spring special that features the best in the late model business battling for a $50,000 top prize over the course of the weekend. In addition to this national event for the full fender division the Renegades of Dirt open wheel modifieds will now join the card for a two day $5,000 to win modified special. Originally the event was scheduled to pay $3,000 to win for modifieds but McCown is eager to up the ante when signing the race with the Renegades of Dirt.

“We are happy to bring the Renegades of Dirt to our facility for our local racers to have a chance to run within their series and stack up against the series racers from across the East” stated McCown. “We think that adding the Renegades to this event and going to $5000 to win will boost this to an absolutely can’t miss for fans from all over the country. $50,000 to win Late Models and $5,000 to win Modifieds is a one of the largest events in the entire country all year and we look forward to having something of this magnitude for fans of Atomic Speedway” added McCown.

The modified portion of the event will kick off on Friday May 13th with time trials and prelimary heat races for the Renegades of Dirt. On Saturday May 14th the tour will return with last chance events to set the final starting field for the evenings a-main. To boot, on Saturday’s docket is a “10 Not In” race that features a $500 to win / $100 to start non-qualifier style event for the top ten cars that fail to transfer for Saturday’s finale. The $5,000 to win, 40 Lap, “Buckeye Nationals” will start twenty cars unless over sixty cars participate in the event then the field will expand to twenty four a-main starters.

“I think race fans are going to see one heck of a show. You have the best late models and now the regions best modifieds. The caliber of talent locally combined with the touring drivers, this is going to be an awesome modified show for the fans of Atomic Speedway” stated Cody Watson. “First time venues for the tour are always exciting to go to especially as part of such a big weekend so we thank Brad for inviting us to participate during the Buckeye Nationals” concluded Watson.
