Working Man50/Firecracker 100 Finale presented by GottaRace.com FAQs

Q. What is the Working Man 50/Firecracker 100 Finale Doubleheader weekend?
A. The 9th Annual running of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series sanctioned Firecracker 100 was originally scheduled for Saturday, June 27, but Mother Nature had other plans. The third and final night of the three-day show will now be completed on Saturday, September 5; the day after the Working Man 50 scheduled for Friday, September 4. In doing so, we’ve created a unique two-day show, but consisting of two separate events.

Friday Night will be a stand alone, complete one-day World of Outlaws program consisting of time trials, heat races, Last Chance Showdowns and a $10,000-to-win, 50-lap A-Main. Then on Saturday, the Firecracker 100 will resume with heat races as qualified in June, Last Chance Showdowns and culminating in the ever exciting 100-lap, $30,000-to-win Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com A-main! And of course, we’ll still cap it all off with the $3,000-to-win Uncle Sam 30 non-qualifier’s race.

Darrell Lanigan finally beat the field to the checked flag last summer to add his name to the impressive list of Firecracker 100 winners. Other past winners include two-time winners Scott Bloomquist and Jimmy Mars, Brian Birkhofer, Shane Clanton and Josh Richards. June’s preliminary A-Mains were won by Shane Clanton and Chase Junghans. Darrell Lanigan won the Inaugural Working Man 50 last September.
