The Zimmer’s Service Center ULMS Racing Series will have a busy weekend In western Pennsylvania as the ULMS Late Models will be competing for over $6000 in winners purse at Pittsburgh PA Motor Speedway and Tri City Raceway Park. The Zimmer’s Service Center Inc. UEMS Emods will be back in action on Sunday joining their big brother series at Tri City for a always fan favorite double header ULMS action event at Tri City.

The ULMS Late Model Series makes their first visit in two years to Pittsburgh PA Motor Speedway for the 9th annual Red Miley Rumble. The 35 lap event will pay $3053 to win and $253 to start. Past ULMS winners of this event have been Keith Barbra, Jared Miley, Dave Johnson and Josh Richards.

This event will also offer a guaranteed provisional towards the 27th annual Pittsburgher 100 on August 28-29 paying $20,000 to win. The provisional will go towards the top finisher of RMR that does not qualify for the Lucas Oil sanctioned Pittsburgher. This means, for example, if the top 3 finishers of the Red Miley Rumble qualify for the Pittsburgher, the fourth place finisher would be eligible for the provisional if needed. In cooperation with PPMS management, there will be a $50 entry fee towards this event. Grandstands open at 5pm with hot laps at 6pm, racing begins at 7PM. Ticket prices for Saturday’s event are Adult $20, Senior $19, Junior $10, Age 6-12 $5, under 6 FREE. Pit PA’s $40.

On Sunday, the Zimmer’s Service Center ULMS Racing Series will head north to Tri City Raceway Park for the second time in the past three weeks with a double header event featuring the northeast longest running late model series, the ULMS Late Models and their little sister series the UEMS Emods. The 15th anniversary rebuilding year continues in this much anticipated event at the Franklin, PA half mile oval.

The Zimmers’ Service Center ULMS Late Models will be in a 30 lap, $3000 to win event. The super late models competed a few weeks back at Tri City in a non sanctioned event and saw a barn burner finish with ULMS point leader, Max Blair passing his dad, Rob on the final turn of the event. No doubt the elder Blair will be looking to avenge the loss to his son, who has been on fire in the past month. Past ULMS winners at Tri City include, Rob Blair, Mike Knight and Boom Briggs who has contacted ULMS Racing Series officials on his plans to attend this event. A very quality field of ULMS Late Models are expected for this event.

The Zimmer’s Service Center UEMS Emods will make their second visit of the year to Tri City. Rich Michael Jr won the first event. You can bet this event, local favorites, Matt Lux, David Scott and Shawn Shingledecker will be looking to grab the spot light. David “Slowride” Scott has been one of the hottest Emod racers since taking over the Tim Engles #68 ride last month. The Taylor boys along with the tracks all time Emod winner, Brent Rhebergen, Ken Zimmer, Howard Fraley, father and daughter duo of Scott and Amanda Stiffler, 44 year racing veteran from New York, Al Brewer, Gary Sullivan along with Ms. UEMS, Kari Gasser, who returned from a two year layoff are all expected to be on hand for the 25 lap $1000 to win event.

Pit gates open at 3pm with grandstands opening at 4pm. ULMS and UEMS driver meeting is at 4:45pm with hot laps at 5pm racing beginning at 6pm at Tri City Raceway Park.
