(Middlebourne, WV) – The Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour will continue its tough trip of consecutive races when the tour visits its proverbial home turf in the Mid-Ohio Valley region this week for a triple header of open wheel action. The tour will be in competition for it’s fifth straight weekend which has tested even the most extreme ‘road veterans’.

IT IS NOTED: A venue change will take place on Friday night! The Renegades of Dirt will travel to Skyline Speedway in Guysville, OH for $1500 to win to kick off the weekend. The scheduled event at Hilltop has been canceled due to a proposed change in the tracks format that is against the standard touring procedure.

“We feel it is in the tour and our racers best interest to visit a venue that didn’t require us to change our procedures on short notice to accommodate an unfavorable format for our competitors” stated director, Cody Watson. “We are excited to visit Skyline Speedway for the first time and want to thank Freddy Carpenter and staff for agreeing to host us on such short notice” added Watson. “We encourage all fans to help us spread the word and come out to Skyline Friday for a great night of racing as they celebrate 50 years” concluded Watson.

The highly anticipated “Ohio River Shootout” will kick off on Friday evening and stretch through out Sunday for a complete slate of racing action for eager tour goers. On Friday the tour will visit Skyline Speedway for $1,500 to win then travel just across the river to Ohio Valley Speedway for another $1,500 to win show before concluding the weekend at “The Bullring” in Middlebourne, WV for the 11th “Dickson Classic” paying $2,000 to win. A possible $6,000 dollars is up for grabs this weekend with $5,000 guaranteed and $500 just to start all three main events.

During the tours recent stretch Jacob Hawkins has reigned supreme starting with the “MEGA 100” and following that up with weekend sweep just days ago in route to nearly $20,000 in first place prizes. During the “Ohio River Shootout” he will try to add to the total being the first driver to win three tour races in one weekend. Additionally, Hawkins will seek to hold back his foes to collect on a bounty placed upon him by tour officials that will allow him to earn $200 extra per night. If an open wheel version of a ‘bounty hunter’ can beat “The Snake” he/she will collect a possible $500 on Friday, $750 on Saturday, or $1000 on Sunday.
