Conneaut, OH (June 23, 2015): The Big Block Modifieds, a fan favorite at Raceway 7 since the beginning, will return this Friday as the “Modified Tour” will make its annual appearance on June 26, this coming Friday. This will be first tour event of 2015 for the Big Block stars. The defending tour champion, Rex King Jr. King won the title last year over Dave Murdick, who picked up the win here last July with Justin Wright second and King third. Jeremiah Shingledecker won the event in 2013 and was fifth in the final points rundown last season. A full field is expected for this event.

All regular classes will compete this Friday as well, led by the Evergreen Lake Park Campground CARS Crate Late Models. Former champion Chad Wright has been the dominating force this summer, winning four of the seven events run thus far in 2015. 2009 champion Dennis Lunger has one win this season and trails the leader by 50 markers. Defending champion Kyle Zimmerman runs third at this time, another 27 points back. Zimmerman has not yet scored a win this season. Last week Billy Henry made his first ever visit to the CARS Victory Lane with his first-ever crate win at Raceway 7. Henry was a former Steel Block champion. The other victory of the 2015 season was by Bob Pifer.

2009 Bonnell Collision Center E-Mods champion Percy McDonald started the season strong with two consecutive feature wins but hasn’t returned to the Winner’s Circle since. However, top five finishes have kept him in the points lead by 31-points over runner up Brent Rhebergen, a winner May 22. Ken Zimmer is a two time winner and runs third in the standings. The other wins this season went to Justin Carlson and Brandon Blackshear, scoring his first ever E-Mod triumph just last week.

Shaun Fawcett has two Campbell’s Mini-Storage Street Stocks feature wins this season and leads the standings over Brandon Groters, a three-time winner. Defending champion, Chris Withers, is running third at this point, but has yet to score a win this season. Rusty Martz collected the Penn Ohio Pro Stock honors with Ed Bolyard, a former champion, gaining his first win of the season last week.

Rick Prosser, a force in local racing back in the 1990s, came out of retirement to run the Bonnell’s Auto Sales Economods a couple years ago and now leads the standings on the strength of a win on May 15. Second is currently Josh Ferry, the defending champion of the division. Ferry has won twice this season, those wins coming in the first two weeks of the season. Third running Russ Kapalin has yet to visit Victory Lane but he always seems to be near the front so a win should come soon for the veteran. Jace Ferringer won his first ever feature at Raceway 7 on May 22, then promptly backed it up with his second win the very next week. Steve Haefke made his first visit to Raceway 7 last Friday and pulled off the victory, his first-ever here. Brad Blackshear has the other win this season.

Brad Cole, the 2013 champion, leads the Specialty Products Mini Stocks with a 24-point margin over defending champion Dale Fraschetti. Cole has one win, that coming May 22, while Fraschetti has two. 2012 champion Bud Sergeff, won the Ron Armstrong Memorial last Friday, his second win of the season and is currently third in the standings. Opening night the winner was Hoyt Mihalak, who is mired back in seventh after being plagued with mechanical issues. The other winner this season was Casey Harmon, on May 8.
