$5,000 BRP Big Block Mod Tour & Mega 100 Qualifiers Set For July 2nd

(Middlebourne, WV) After losing several events to Mother Nature and Tropical Depression Bill and with the month of June finally coming to a close, race fans and the Tyler County Speedway look to put the wet month in the rear view mirror as a huge month of July awaits eager race fans of the ‘Bullring’. The month of July will have something for everyone as BRP Big Block modifieds, Fireworks, a Night of Destruction and the monstrous Mega 100 weekend are just some of what is in store for the most fan friendly speedway in the region.

A rare Thursday Night show will welcome fans back as the mighty BRP Big Blocks will make a return visit to the Middlebourne, WV oval on July 2nd as we kick off the huge Independence weekend in grand fashion. The ground pounders of the western frontier will take to the Tyler County Speedway as the Bicknell Race Products Modified Tour enjoys its 17th season. The modified tours stands as the only organized series for the drivers in the Western PA, eastern OH, and Niagara regions and sees both fully loaded big blocks and 358 competitors from each of them. Some of the drivers expected to vie for the $5,000 to win Touring event at the ‘Bullring’ include defending champion Rex King Jr., father Rex King Sr., Dave Murdick, Brad Rapp, Jeremiah Shingledecker, among many others looking to tame the high banks of the Tyler County Speedway. The BRP Modified Tour has made two previous visits to Tyler County Speedway with Kevin Bolland and Brian Swartzlander from his 22nd starting position picking up wins in two thrilling main events. Also on the July 2nd Thursday Night Thunder card will be Mega 100 Qualifiers in all divisions. Drivers can be the first entrant to punch their ticket into the summers richest and biggest event, the Waters Edge Oilfield Services Modified Mega 100. With the $12,000 to win, $1,200 to start Renegades of Dirt Modified Mega 100 being the richest modified show in the tours history what better way to punch your ticket than by winning the regular modified main event on Thursday, July 2nd. Huge money will be on the line in all other divisions during the Mega 100 so each and every class will want to secure their coveted starting position by running well during the Mega 100 Qualifiers.

And don’t forget to bring the kids as a can’t miss Fireworks Extravaganza by Zambelli’s will also light up the night sky at intermission. Gates open at 4, with hot laps/qualifying getting underway at 7, ticket prices are as follows, general admission is $15, while children 10 and under are free, pit pricing is $35.
