WHEELERSBURG, OH-Following an off week last Friday, May 8th the Southern Ohio Speedway is set for round #4 of the Southern Ohio Championship Series with the Buckeye 25 this Friday, May 15th. We have had some developments for this Friday’s races. H&L Motorsports co-owner Robbie & Lisa Harmon have added $1,000 to the winner of Friday’s Late Model feature, making it $3,000 to win, $250 to start for Late Models! Modifieds-$750 to win, $140 to start and Sport Mods-$300 to win, $35 to start will also be on the racing card.

Late Model Preview
The Late Model racing at SOS this season has been absolutely outstanding. In three races, there have been three different winners (Dustin Linville April 17th, R. J. Conley April 24th, Rod Conley May 1st). The last Late Model race came down to a last lap battle between Rod Conley and Stephen Breeding. The two were side by side off of turn 4 for the win with Conley edging Breeding at the line by a car length to take the win. The win was Rod Conley’s first at SOS since September 2012.

With $3,000 to win on the line this Friday, the action is expected to be all that much more intense. With the strongest total Late Model purse in the region, all drivers will walk away with good money on Friday as the feature pays $250 just to start. It promises to be an excellent show on Friday!

Modified Preview
Just like in the Late Models, the Modified racing has been absolutely outstanding this season as well. Three time defending track champion Jeremy Rayburn has won all three races and has faced some stiff competition to take those three wins. The last two Modified features have also came down to the last lap as Rayburn has held off late race charges from Todd Robinson.

SOS offers a great purse for the Modified division each and every race! Just like in the Late Models, the winners purse isn’t the only high point of the payout. The Modifieds pay $140 to start, making our purse the highest start money in the entire region.

Sport Mod Preview
The Sport Mods have proven why they are a fan favorite this season with incredible racing each and every week. The competition has been just as strong with three different winners in three races! Emily Jordan won on April 17th with Mitchell Fields winning April 24th and Eric Dennison winning on May 1st. It promises to be another incredible night of racing in the Sport Mod division this Friday, May 15th!
