The Legendary Hilltop Speedway in Marietta Ohio, will kick off their 2015 racing season with the 2nd annual running of the Frostbuster 30. Many of the region’s top late model teams will compete for the $2,000 to win top prize, in a 30 lap feature race on the exciting ¼ mile track. After a very popular inaugural running of the race in 2014, the staff at the Legendary Hilltop Speedway has decided to add an extra level excitement to the already highly anticipated opening night of racing, with a $1,000 to win Modified feature race. The two 30 lap features will highlight an evening that will also introduce the new AMRA Sport Mod class to the track, along with Legendary Hilltop’s, Street Stock and “6 & Under” classes.

In order to prepare for the 2015 season, the staff at Legendary Hilltop held a widely popular Test N Tune on Sunday March 22nd that saw over 35 cars turn laps. Fans who attended the Test N Tune were able to watch the first unofficial laps turned by the AMRA Sport Mod’s prior to a season that will see drivers in this newly formed class battle for an AMRA national point’s championship. Those in attendance also caught an early opportunity to see some of the drivers who will compete in the Frostbuster 30’s, work to dial in their cars for the special opening night.

Kicking off what will be the 3rd full season since reopening, the track staff at Legendary Hilltop has worked to continue the long legacy of the track that opened in the early 1960’s. This year, fans can expect a wide variety of special races throughout the summer, along with a number of evenings filled with activities for the kids in attendance. Fans will also have access to the additional 600 plus seats Legendary Hilltop has added to the facility with the addition of aluminum bleachers along the front stretch in order to improve the overall fan experience.

Race fans can come kick off the 2015 racing season at the track, as gates will open first time this season at 4 pm on Saturday April 4th with a drivers meeting scheduled for 6:45 and mini wedge heat races to follow.
