What will go into the record books as a successful season hopes to end in a big way, as the final two races of the season are near. October 22nd will be a 2012 preview, as the classes and purses of 2012 are scheduled, then on October 29th an $800 to win Steel Block Late Model Show along with a last man standing $500 to win enduro will headline the nights events.

Headlining the October 22nd event and all of the 2012 season will be the powerful Late Model division. The Late Model division has visited the bullring with solid fields each time out with Chris Carpenter, Greggie Oliver and Brandon Fouts capturing the wins. While the Late Model division usually runs for $1,000 to win, the 2012 Season Preview event will see a $1,200 to win show as the 2012 purse will see a slight increase. 2012 Late Model rules are currently being discussed and the October 22nd show will be ran under current guidelines, which allow for any AMRA, UMP, LODLMS or WOO legal cars to participate. The 2012 purse will be 1.) $1,200 2.) $600 3.) $400 4.) $350 5.) $300 6.) $275 7.) $250 8.) $225 9.) $200 10.) $175 11-18.) $150

The Modified division has been the cornerstone of the speedway’s operations for 2011 and will once again be a headlining division for 2012. Kevin Morehouse picked up the biggest modified victory of the season as he won the $2,000 to win “Modified Mayhem 40.” This event will return to the speedway in 2012 as the winner’s share will increase to $3,000, making this event one of the largest events in track history. Kenny Johnson and Mark Dickson left their mark on the track as both drivers claimed several victories throughout the season. Current points leader Ryan McCarley looks to be the favorite to win the 2011 Track Championship and be the recipient of a $750 voucher for a new chassis from Coyote Race Cars. As with the Late Model division, the Modified division rules for 2012 are currently being discussed and the October 22nd show will be ran under the current rules. A challenge has been issued for all modified drivers; if 35 modifieds sign in for the October 22nd event, it will be a $1,000 to win show, otherwise they will run for the 2012 purse of 1.) $600 2.) $300 3.) $250 4.) $200 5.) $180 6.) $160 7.) $140 8.) $130 9.) $120 10.) $110 11-18.) $100

The Street Stock Division is coming off the largest Street Stock event in the Midwest, as the $2,500 to win 1st Annual Street Stock Nationals event was won by current points leader Jamey Adams. The 1st Annual Street Stock Nationals event had a strong field of 39 cars vying for a piece of the nearly $10,000 in prize money. The 2nd installment of the Street Stock Nationals will also see its winners share increasing to $3,000, solidifying the event as one of the top Street Stock races in the country. Bruce Gray Jr also had a solid year, winning the $1,000 to win Street Stock Shootout event. Butch Eblin finds himself in a points battle with Jamey Adams going into the last points race of the season on October 22nd. Eblin will be credited with the 50pt Attendance Bonus giving him a slight edge going into the final points race. The October 22nd race will be known as the “Hippie 01 Memorial” in honor of the late John “Hippie” Powell Sr with the winners share being $401. 2012 Rules for the Street Stock division will be similar, if not the same, as the 2011 rules. The 2012 purse will be 1.) $400 2.) $200 3.) $150 4.) $125 5.) $100 6.) $90 7.) $80 8.) $70 9.) $60 10.) $50 11-18.) $40.

Although the Mod Lite division will not be a part of the 2012 Preview, they will return in 2012 as a support division. The Mod Lite division will once again follow the TUSA rules with the exception of the tire rule. As with 2011, Jackson County Speedway will not be sanctioned by TUSA, therefore no member fees/license will be required to race at Jackson County Speedway. Aaron Pendleton has already been crowned the 2011 Track Champion in a dominating year. The 2012 purse will be 1.) $250 2.) $150 3.) $125 4.) $100 5.) $80 6.) $70 7.) $60 8.) $50 9.) $45 10.) $40 11-18.) $30

The Outlaw 4 Cylinder division was a growth division in 2011, starting out with only 3 cars and averaging double digit car counts by years end. It’s been a feast or famine year for Steve Cruse, Cruse has many feature victories in the division but motor troubles caused the driver some heart break throughout the year. Cruse’s troubles allowed consistent front runner Randy Baker to assume the points lead and Baker looks to be the favorite to win the division for 2011. The 2012 purse and purse for October 22nd will be 1.) $200 2.) $100 3.) $80 4.) $70 5.) $60 6.) $55 7.) $50 8.) $45 9.) $40 10.) $35 11-18.) $30

The Stock 4 Cylinder division will see a major change for the October 22nd event as the 2012 rulebook will read FWD vehicles only. Current Points leader Todd Miley hopes to return to the track for a final points race after having a horrific crash on the last night out. Several drivers including Tommy Cox, Brandon Allen and Michael Skeens have improved their driving throughout the course of the year and 2012 looks to be a great year for the FWD Stock 4 Cylinder division. The 2012 purse and purse for October 22nd will be 1.) $150 2.) $100 3.) $75 4.) $65 5.) $55 6.) $50 7.) $45 8.) $40 9.) $35 10.) $35 11-18.) $30
