K-C to Host All-Star Sprints for Freedom 40
(Chillicothe, OH) The All-Star Circuit of Champions and K-C Raceway have teamed up for the Prestigious “Freedom 40″ to honor all veterans and those who gave their lives on 9-11. The Sept. 10 running of the event is only one day from the anniversary of that historic day and K-C wishes to Honor those, who fought to help others that day; and in memory of those who perished.
K-C is idle this coming Labor Day weekend, but returns in a big way Sept. 10 for the annual “Freedom 40″ for the All-Star Circuit of Champion sprint cars. In an effort to pack the stands for one of racing’s most prestigious open wheel races, K-C promoter Jeff Schrader is charging the standard $12 General Admission for all fans.
Said Schrader, “This is typically an $18-$20 admission to see the outlaw sprints from the All-Star Circuit of Champions. If you haven’t seen a sprint car race, especially some of the best in the business (including Knoxville Nationals 2010 Champ Tim Shaffer), then this is a great opportunity. If you are a race fan, you know it is a bargain. Sprint cars and K-C Raceway create excitement very few tracks can make claim to.”
Also on the race card are the powerful AMRA Modifieds and hard-charging K-C Hobby Stocks.
K-C has added Late Models to the October 1 racing program. This will give the late model and modified drivers their last chance to race on KC before the DTWC. There will be no BOSS sprints this night.
While plans are in the works for more Road Warrior Challenge modified races, the races that remain currently on the AMRA National schedule are Sat. Sept 17th at Skyline Speedway, Stewart, Ohio (Harvest 50 Weekend) and Sat. Oct 1st at K-C Raceway in Chillicothe, Ohio as a Warm-up for Dirt Track World Championship. The Dirt Track World Championship is Oct. 13-14-15 paying $50,000 to win for Late Models and $3,000 to win for Modifieds.
